Obama's Big Sellout - Rollingstones Magazine

"What's taken place in the year since Obama won the presidency has turned out to be one of the most dramatic political about-faces in our history. Elected in the midst of a crushing economic crisis brought on by a decade of orgiastic deregulation and unchecked greed, Obama had a clear mandate to rein in Wall Street and remake the entire structure of the American economy. What he did instead was ship even his most marginally progressive campaign advisers off to various bureaucratic Siberias, while packing the key economic positions in his White House with the very people who caused the crisis in the first place. This new team of bubble-fattened ex-bankers and laissez-faire intellectuals then proceeded to sell us all out, instituting a massive, trickle-up bailout and systematically gutting regulatory reform from the inside."

what surprised me was how much his nobel prize speech sounded like GWB's words about war, some dems have caught on to this, others of course are partisan hacks and now support his "just" war and "evils" that exist, when GWB said this he was mocked the left

That's because (1) you seemingly don't know the difference between preventive and preemptive war and (2) your knowledge of presidential rhetoric on war seems to only date back to 2001. I'm sure if you think a little harder you could probably come up with a few modern Democratic presidents that spoke of "just war" and of the existence of evil in the world.

Bush did sound funny when he said "evildoers". It still sounds weird when I think about it...

I dont remember anyone being against Afganistan?

Bush never sounded so articulate.

Bush also added fucking LIES to his speaches to BAIL on Afghanistan and go into Iraq and ship pallets of hundered dollar bills just to let them dissapear.

The people who refuse to see the differance always pretend to forget that Obama was elected on a platform to Do the afghan war.

Yeah they sound the same except for the shitty speach writting of Bush, the Lies of Bush and the war they are talking about.

asswink

"I dont remember anyone being against Afganistan?"

There were a few, but only on the fringes. Afghanistan enjoyed much more popular support & support from the left than Iraq, which was a completely different animal.

Yurt likes to treat them as though they are one & the same, and as though finishing a war is the same as starting it.

LOL, I swear the "lefties" are NEVER happy people...it's one bitch after another....it's sooooo fun to watch.

nothing dishonest about what i said at all...i did not say all dems and as onceler rightly points out, some dems were against the war...

bush was ridiculed for his "evil" talk, obama....haven't heard a peep out of the media and so far only onceler has said anything about it, after i brought it up....

so desh...i'll expect an apology from you as i said nothing dishonest
