Obamacare waivers

because it was never a program to make companies do the governments bidding, it was strictly a law to enforce cooperation/participation among the populace.

The question to ask is whose ass do you have to kiss to get a waiver?

PUCKER UP!!!

Because many of the reforms don't kick in until 2014. If the law fully kicked in overnight the waivers would be unnecessary.

This is about 2014. there is no reason to stop offering mini-med insurance if it's not yet a violation of the law. they're talking about the future (as in 2014 and beyond) requirements.

WTF are you smoking that you don't even understand what this is about?

Many mini-med insurance plan violate the law because they have extremely low annual caps, which violate parts of the law that are now effective. And the waivers are for one year and only apply to a policy year that begins (or began) between September 23, 2010 and September 23, 2010 .

I understand full well what this is all about. You do not.

i think you meant 2011

is it your contention that one can apply for waivers only from 2010 to 2011?

You are correct. That is a typo. The waivers apply to plans with effective plan years that begin between Sept. 23, 2010 and Sept. 23, 2011.

My contention is simply that these waivers have nothing to do with 2014 and beyond requirements as tinfoil stated.

from what i read, you can apply after 2011 and into the future, it seemed vague if they were to outright stop in 2014
