Many people signing up for health care in Florida through the Affordable Care Act have been shocked when they have to give proof of their credit score before they finish the process.

Anne Packham, one of many people licensed by the state to help people navigate the government's website, said on Tuesday that the credit check occurs so providers can make an educated decision about who to insure.

"If someone is defaulting on all of their bills they may not want to have them as part of their health plan," said Packham, the lead Navigator in Florida.

Participants with low credit scores could end up paying higher premiums, according to Packham, who said that ultimately the insurance company makes the call.

This is not a defense of the GOP, merely a fact check. But the GOP have come up with numerous plans/alternatives to reform healthcare. The Marxist media choose to ignore them and when Democrats found themselves in total control of our Government, it was their opportunity to pass this abomination along straight party lines thus forcing the GOP in a defense mode falsely criticized as the party of "no".

So you left the GOP and now wander in the wilderness without the opportunity to choose the candidates you will be forced to choose from. The reality for at least the next decade or two, it will be one of two parties dominating the Presidency. By not choosing either, it can be correctly assumed the advantage goes to Democrat dimwits.

Independents do not like this reality, but it is one they have to face. Better to at least register as a Republican to have primary choices at least, than to stand on the sidelines holding your nose. The TEA party has been good for the Republican party in that it is forcing this old lethargic party to question its loyalty to inside the beltway group think. This, I believe, is a principled effort you will never see from Democrats; they have none.

Just giving you my two cents worth if you don't want to see another Democrat dimwit in the White House and seek change at the State level.

Voters in California have all but abandoned the Republican Party. The result; Democrat Governor, Democrat Leutenant Governor and a veto proof Democrat majority in the State House; unprecedented in previous years. Nothing good will come of this, but this is what we can all expect if we abandon one party on principles based on the steady drone of Marxist media outlets determined to elect Progressive Leftists.
