Obama v. ????

Well maybe Palin is tarnished by the stench of John McCain? Or maybe the negative stereotypical rhetoric constantly bombarding her from the left and beltway republicans has taken its toll on her? I guess we'll have to wait and see what the people think, but just going by her speeches and what she has to say on the issues, I can't find a thing wrong with what she believes or advocates. I have no complain with Palin on substance, and I've yet to meet any conservative who can tell me what they disagree with her on. Granted, she is an attractive female, a former beauty queen, and she doesn't have a Harvard law degree, and hasn't had her head up the ass of the GOP forever, but those aren't really valid reasons to be opposed to someone.

Annie, you are welcome to your opinions of Palin, sometimes it's just a matter of whether you "like" someone, it has nothing to do with what they say or do, they just don't crank your tractor or whatever, I understand that. But you know what? If Palin successfully wins the GOP nomination, I bet a lot of people will get over their angst toward her, and pull that lever in favor of getting rid of the socialist regime currently occupying the White House. Just sayin...

Not a chance, unless he looses weight and learns to play the game better.

Yeah, because Republicans always pick attractive people who know how to tow the party line, like The Maverick John McCain! Jarhead, you are such an idiot... I can't believe you've existed this long without doing something detrimental to yourself, like walking in front of a bus or something. It just amazes me how you people have managed to make it this far in life.

my prediction is that the Republican nominee will be the governor that pulls his/her state out of the economic quagmire the fastest between now and 2012.....the campaign will focus on a contrast between "it's the economy, stupid" from the Republicans and "Do you guys remember a president named Bush" from the Democrats.....the Democrats will lose, because people no longer will....

We have one of the weakest Tea Party state boards in the country. Out of the 5 members, 1 says he's a dem. 3 say they are inde. I say I'm Republican-for the most part.

Not one of us find Palin even marginally acceptable.

Are you sure that you're not a Libertarian?

I don't like Palin. But it's kind of personal.

She indorses the Marxist McCain, She supported Perry who want's to personally proffit off mandating my daughters get shots, and she acts like she's part of the tea party movement when she's not.

former MA Gov. Mitt Romney v. Obama .... Close but Obama wins.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist; .... Crist wins.
former House speaker Newt Gingrich; .... Obama blowout!
former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani; .... Obama win.
former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee; .... Obama blowout.
Lousiana Gov. Bobby Jindal; ..... Obama blowout.
Texas Congressman Ron Paul; ..... Obama Blowout.
Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin; .... Obama Blowout.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty; .... Too close to call.
South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford .... Obama win.

Charlie Crist?????

Pleeeeaaase! You've got to be kidding.

A lot of conservatives dismiss the idea, but I think Palin is setting herself up for a strong primary run; she could realistically be the candidate.

There is no one else that is that strong right now, imo. But who would have figured Obama in '08? You never know what's going to happen & who will elevate their game when the primaries roll around...

Palin was a shooting star. She's already burning out, even amongst the tea party virus she's set aflame.

I'd consider voting for Mit Romney.

Why? What would he do besides whatever congressional Republicans wanted him to?

The only reason Scott Brown and Mitt Romney were ever elected is because they are tall and attractive. The ignorant proles think they support them for other reasons, but are truly swayed by the placebo effect.

Just think about so-called "positive" campaigns in recent times. A guy in my state was running for state-wide office and won 63% of the vote, more than anyone else in 2007. What were his commercials about? A relatively funny argument with an old women about how silly his name was. That was it. Actual issues were not discussed.

And how did Scott Brown get elected? By talking about his truck. Again, no issues were discussed, no content available. The definition of "independent" seems to be "no content". In congress, Mitch McConnel has started whispering in his ear, and he has become Mississippi's third senator. Massachusettes is now left with representation from only one senator, thanks to unthinking and easily manipulable proles like Chap.

I like Crist and would likely vote for him, the TEA party hates him. Paul is okay also.

I belive Crist would have a chance given that he is well positioned as an outsider who is beyond party politics, if he could get the nod.

Just wait until McConnel starts whispering in his ear. It will be the vote you most regret in your life.

In many ways, yes I lean libertarian. However, that party has yet to field a candidate locally or nationally that I could vote for.

Gary Johnson will be the new libertarian Republican and I plan on working for him as hard as I can. But, traditional GOPers like Dixie and SM will not support him. He is not a social conservative. When he left office, he left New Mexico with a Buget Surplus that is had until the national economy went bust.

In the April 20, 2009 edition of The American Conservative Magazine, Bill Kauffman told readers to "keep an eye out" for a Johnson presidential campaign in 2012, reporting that Johnson had told him that "he was keeping his options open for 2012" and that "he may take a shot at the Republican presidential nomination in 2012 as an antiwar, anti-Fed, pro-personal liberties, slash-government-spending candidate—in other words, a Ron Paul libertarian".

Which means, that as much as Republicans CLAIM they want a small government conservative Johnson will get 5-8% of the primary votes and the rest will go to a candidate that hates fags and wants to outlaw abortion. The american people will lose again and any credibility that the GOP is the party of small government will fly out the window with the next Bush like candidate that increases spending, spying on americans and big government right wing nannyism.

Personally I don't want a Ron Paul. I'm not anti-gay, just don't want 'special rights' for any group. I'm against abortion but that's not political as much as ethical for me. I'm pro-immigration, against illegal immigration. I'm against the 'round them up and send them back' mentality, it would bankrupt the country. I'm also against amnesty.

I'll spend some time looking at all those videos, though because of hearing loss, I really like being able to read positions. Thanks though for the head's up on Johnson.

Ron Paul is pro-life, so if Johnson is not, he is definitely not a full clone. What are people's thoughts on an anti-Fed candidate?

Crist denies that he is gay and is married to a very attractive woman.

Yeah, but there is good proof that he is gay. Larry Craig is married and denies his sexuality too. But maybe they are just ambiguously gay, like SM, and only tap their toes when encouraged to by their environment. That is, they are gay.
