The electoral map is looking good for President Obama as November draws nearer.

In new polls of likely voters in battleground states, the incumbent shapes up to be the candidate with the clearest path to winning the presidency come Election Day.

The polls conducted one week after the close of the Democratic National Convention show Obama with as much as a 5-point advantage in the key states of Florida and Virginia.

In a poll of likely voters in Ohio, Obama led 50 percent to 43 percent.

Do you ever plan on posting current news or are you intent on passing along old news and trying to pass it off as new hoping nobody will notice?

BTW, why did you remove your chart from your Bush tax cut thread

An analysis by RealClearPolitics.com, a nonpartisan website, shows the incumbent leading in states (and the District of Columbia) with 332 electoral votes - 62 more than is needed to ensure his re-election - while Romney is ahead in states with 206 electoral votes.

Should we call off the election now? Just save everyone the time and have a coronation for your Dear Leader?

No, I want the election. Things could change between now and November, every day makes it less likely.

Plus I want the president to have coattails, and I want him to be able to claim the Political Capitol the election will give him, a mandate so to speak.

He had that in 2008. How did that work out for him? Oh yeah, he lost the House.
