In an editorial published Wednesday, The Advocate newspaper in Baton Rouge called on Obama to visit "the most anguished state in the union." The newspaper noted that Obama interrupted his two-week vacation on Martha's Vineyard earlier this week to attend a fundraiser for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton on the Massachusetts island.
 
President Barack Obama has received criticism for staying on vacation rather than traveling to Louisiana to see the damage first-hand.

But Edwards said Thursday that he's spoken with the White House daily and has received quick responses for each request he's made to the administration. He noted that FEMA Administrator Craig Fugate visited the state Tuesday and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson was in-state Thursday.

Edwards said he is "not complaining in any way about our federal partnership."

I guess it is not a chocolate city anymore and a President can do the minimum and get accolades. What a difference 11 years make. Oh, and the party of the President.

Such is the ridiculous right and their mantra that the president is ‘always wrong.’

This is so stupid. Bush was criticized for doing more and Obama is praised for doing less.

Criticized is an understatement. More like excoriated.

But Obama can hit links and maybe have an aid send out a Tweet and it's all honky-dory. The media is so biased they're beyond hope.

I have to admit, I would have.....of course that doesn't mean I can't still criticize him for taking a vacation.......he could have stayed home, gotten some work done and not exploited anyone.......

Lest we forget; Obama has a long way to to catch up to the non-stop ration of shit GW faced over Katrina and let's not even start with the "President is always wrong" mantra.

Yep. There is massive hypocrisy on both sides, but as Thing likes to say about quantity, there is definitely more quantity on the Dems side. And as Dems are want to say, yes, lies are bad, but lying more is worse.
