Obama the political bully?

A couple of weeks ago I pointed out how Romney would not choose Rubio as the VP unless he were desperate. Then I pointed out yesterday and maybe Monday how it appeared President Obama was trying to make it hard for Romney not to choose Rubio with his immigration policy change anouncement. Then, yesterday in the media it was reported that several Republican insider sources said that Rubio was not being vetted. About two hours after the report about Rubio not being vetted, a very defensive Romney, who has thusfar been very secretative about the VP selection process, and has had a very desciplined about the process, called a inpromptu press conference to assure us that in fact Rubio was being fully and extensivly vetted.

Now this clearly does not indicate that Romney will chose Rubio, also clearly Romney wants the voters to know, or belive, that Rubio is being seriously considered. There was no press conference to say that others were being vetted!

Is President Obama's political bullying working? Is Romney being boxed into a corner with his first major decision about what his administration would look like? Is this a smart move on President Obama's part or will he be sorry if he gets what he is pushing for?

Let the name calling begin! (Try to be more creative this time, Ive already heard liar, bigot, and idiot so many times its getting passe)

Of course it's a smart move on Obama's part.

It shows the inefficacy of the Republican party. Sheesh...you'd think they would have learned since the Sarah Barracuda Wasilla Hillbilly fiasco.

I belive thats what Obama is hoping for, if Romney chooses Rubio they will Wasilla him, with his history, background and inexperience.

Lets see if the President is successfull and he forces Romney to pick Rubio. It appears he was successfull at forcing Romney to consider Rubio.

Even though it's been talked about for quite awhile you don't believe Rubio was an actual VP candidate until Obama "forced" him to be one?

I dont and have not belived that Rubio is really seriously being considered, unless Romney feels desperate or the Preisdent is able to box Romney into it. I have repietedly said so for weeks. I have also been caled an idiot and a liar for the position.

:palm:

To which Romney immideatly and very defensivly came out and announced that Rubio is being vetted. (A lie told, in my opinion, to ensure the hispanics are not further alienated by Romney)

And with convoluted reasoning like yours, you can dream up many stupid scenarios and present many crazy reasons why it might be so....

good lord jarod....your entire OP claims it was actually obama that forced him to come out and claim rubio is being vetted. the TRUTH is, it was republican insider sources, according to your very own OP, NOT obama who allegedly caused this.

seriously, you're either a liar or just plain stupid.

Funny that you keep commenting on Rubio's supposed inexperience to be VICE President when he has every bit as much, if not more, experience than Obama did running for President.

No, you simply do not understand my point, you are so blinded by partisinship.

Try to understand my timeline here...

1) Romney had decided against Rubio. (my belife, no proof here in case you were going to call me a liar I want to make it clear.)
2) President Obama anounced a shift in immigration policy. (fact) In an attempt to force Romney's hand on both Rubio and immigration. (my belife, no proof here in case you were going to call me a liar I want to make it clear.)
3) This made the Hispanic voting population happy. (my belife, no proof here in case you were going to call me a liar I want to make it clear.)
4) The Media reported that Democratic and Republican insiders reported that Rubio was not being considered. (fact) Romney was not considering Rubio (my belife, no proof here in case you were going to call me a liar I want to make it clear.)
5) As a result of the Presidents anouncement Romney innitiated a vetting process of Rubio to ensure no further damage to his position with hispanic voters. (my belife, no proof here in case you were going to call me a liar I want to make it clear.)

I do not necessarily agree that Rubio is too inexperienced, I simply belive they will use his lack of experience against him.

jarod you make no sense. obama's policy on immigration, imo, has zero affect on romney's choice for VP. your entitled to your opinion about whether romney is vetting rubio or not. but it really is asinine to believe he is not. and asinine to believe obama's has any affect on romney's choice.

Just to save you some time, Jarod doesn't actually read the links he posts... at least not in their entirety. He claimed Rubio had three scandals, then posted links to try and support his claim. Only two showed up in his links and both were debunked by his own links. Similar to what you have just pointed out here.

Jarod is an idiot and he will continually ignore his own links and that fact. So be prepared to either just ignore him or to go round and round in circles. Because he will never acknowledge anything that contradicts his self perceived glory in MSNBC watching him etc...

which would not happen by any experienced campaign given that Obama had the same or less experience when he ran for a higher office than that which Rubio would be running for. In other words Jarod, that could only make Obama look retarded.

We will have to disagree.

You really do not belive that the President would try to influence Romney's choice for VP if he felt it gave him a political advantage?

1) PRESIDENT Obama would not do it himself.
2) The Republicans sure made the argument, and now they would turn around and support Rubio?
