Obama The Endless 'Infomercial'

Air America was not and never will be classified as a news organization. It played to the extreme left wing nuts.

Fox is only classified as a new org becuase they say it with a lot of money.

Real news is scarce. Most newscasters are common taters not reporters.

Some local news stations and the PBS nightly news are the closest things I know of to real news still existing.

not true...bush just interviewed with charlie gibson about a month or so ago...

last year bush interviewed online with politico and yahoo....and no way is yahoo friendly to bush...i could go on but you get the point

Well a month ago wouldn't really be apt comparison as Bush was out of office.

I don't watch any netowrk news.

I only read on the net, sometimes watch the PBS nightly news and pick up the local news.

The rest is too sensationalized to suit me regardless of political slant.
But Fox does piss me off by claiming to be fair and balanced....

I would argue its apples to oranges when talking about in office vs. already left offcie but thats neither here nor there.

his point was that when bush wanted to "sell" something, he only went to friendlies...bush interviewed obviously to boslter his legacy and he didn't go to fox...he had nothing to gain by going to gibson, it simply shows that onceler is wrong

bush has interviewed with abc, nbc in the past during his presidency

fOX NEWS is the one who broke the story on Van Jones and ACORN. None of the others would cover it, until they were forced to do so. Even then it was a mere snippet.

He obstensibly (sp) had a lot to gain by going to Gibson, a different audience than he would have on Fox News. The same as Obama would stand to potentially gain a lot by going to Fox News. Presidents shouldn't be afraid to go anywhere to get interviewed but to their handlers its obviously a risk/reward perspective. Obama is obviously not going to go to Hannity nor is Bush going to Olbermann when he was in office. Obama went to O'Reilly and I believe he was interviewed by Chris Wallace.

Yes; again, for the hard of hearing - he stayed friendly when he was out to sell something.

Campaign time, or legacy building? All venues considered. And not just Bush; Clinton, Bush Sr, etc.

I know you won't make the linear comparison, because I think you're incapable of it.

yes, you're right about going to gibson and that is also why i think obama is stupid...what i was tryign to convey is, according to onceler, bush had nothing to gain by going to gibson who was not friendly as bush ONLY went to friendly's when "selling" something....

? he went to gibson :pke:

and i also showed other interviews, so you're wrong onceler, accept it and move on

Gee, and how did they get that way, by advertisement dollars. Seems lots of people watch that station and it is very profitable. Unlike Air America, that steals money from the Boys & Girls Club to keep running. Democrats like George Soros and rest of the liberal elite nuts have been throwing millions at that money pit.

You are leading us back to the America is stupid thread again :D

Air America really isn't a great comparison, but when Bush had to "sell" something, he only went to friendly venues.

He gave an interview to Russert once, but it was campaign season. Obama went on Fox during campaign season, and probably will again.

The idea that Obama is scared or something is ridiculous, and, of course, hypocritical for the righties here.

And I have a hunch we'll be waiting for Tutu's video for quite a long time...
Apparently when Bush goes on unfriendly venues it is ignored...

Does anybody remember the NBC editing controversy, where they took out "And when, you know, a leader of Iran says that they want to destroy Israel," from a sentence so that it would sound like Bush was attacking Obama?
