Obama tells 60 minutes, it wasn't his policies, it was lack of communication skills
So the great orator is going to blame lack of communication skills for the devastating defeat this election year instead of the real reason, being his policies.
You hold on to that, Mr. President. Hold it close to your heart and keep repeating it as you ignore the real reasons why your party was ousted. You should actually feel lucky that it was mid term elections and not a time for your re-election, not that that is going to happen either.
Here is why your party lost and here is why you're not going to get re-elected in 2012.
1. you promised more transparency yet you continually argue to the USSC about 'state secrets'.
2. you promised to remove parts of the patriot act, yet appeal to the USSC for more executive power to enforce the patriot act in ways unimaginable even to the bush administration.
3. you were going to close gitmo, yet have kept it open.
4. you were going to end the wars, yet they are still ongoing.
5. you were going to hold the bush administration accountable, yet argued for executive privilege when congress demanded documents.
6. you promised to put pending legislation in the public venue so all could read whats in it, then either shortened the time you promised or just plain didn't show it.
7. you pushed through legislation that is going to cost the taxpayer even more money when they are barely making it as it is.
8. you increased the tax payer debt by increasing the deficit while telling the people that there were 'shovel ready jobs' waiting for money to begin, then 6 months later told us that you shouldn't have said 'shovel ready'.
your presidency is a failure to the people whom you were supposed to serve. so yes, it is indeed your policies that cost you your seats of power, much like it cost the republicans 2 and 4 years ago. But please, keep telling us that things are too complicated for us to understand plainly and that you just need to dumb it down appropriately.
