Nice ad hom but it doesn't address the polling data which clearly shows that millenials are alienated from the GOP and primarily on social issues. I have seen nothing in the GOP platform that would cause millenials to close that gap.

A new Pew Research Center survey out Friday showed that half of America’s young adults, ages 18 to 33, consider themselves political independents, identifying with neither party. But asked which way they lean politically, half of the so-called millennials say they lean toward the Democratic Party, the highest share for any age group over the last decade.

In addition, young adults seem to be turning away from their predecessors’ proclivity for religion and marriage. Almost two-thirds don’t classify themselves as “a religious person.” And when it comes to tying the knot: Only about 1 in 4 millennials is married. Almost half of baby boomers were married at that age.

The millennials are oddballs to begin with. I was reading an article on MSN business about them bringing their parents with them to job interviews. lol.

Couple that with them lolling on their parents' health insurance until they're 26 (I've had my own employer-provided health insurance since I'm 16.)

By the time they finally begin a career, they're compelled into a Social Security pool (which they probably will never benefit from), a Medicare pool (which they probably will never benefit from), and now an Obamacare pool (through which they're additionally subsidizing those they're already subsidizing w/Social Security and Medicare contributions).

The first party that gets to these kids with some concrete proposals for their retirements is going to win the demographic.

My daughter did what all of her contemporaries have done, joined their parents plan. She is angry about the situation. And just like the article implies, intends to give politics the middle finger next election. She was never all that enamored of politics anyway. Neither are her friends. Obama had them for a period , the democrats never did.
