Obama promises no refugees to enter US without passing 18-24 month screening process.

actually, I doubt they have started working with any refugees as of the moment.......do you really think they are screening as we speak?.......

Yes, in fact a group of fully screened Syrian refugees arrived over the weekend to New Orleans.

that is surprising.......they were fully screened?.......were there refugees coming out of Syria 18 months ago?.......the war just started in 2013, didn't it?......

I know ISIS declared war on us, not "radical Islam."

I am totally against putting American troops in harm's way to fight again in the ME.

Bush predicted we'd have to sooner or later if we bailed on Iraq; but that's neither here nor there.

ISIS is the latest iteration of radical Islam. If and when we defeat them, they will be replaced by the next radical Islamist group but they will call themselves something else.

religion needs to understand its place in the world of mankind.

when religion tells people to hate and or kill they have lost their right to exist in this world.

those who claim any religion ( I dont care what they call it an it doesnt matter) and then harm other humans for that religion need to cease or die.

what religion they are exploiting at any given minute is meaningless.

EVERY religion has taken a turn at this killing for god crap.

believe whatever you want to believe.

stop organizing it into a latter for sociopaths to climb to the top of.

you don't need people to tell you what your god wants of you.

you are suppose to have a direct relationship with him and don't need someone to ORDER how to see god .

stop organizing your belief and just believe

wouldn't they then have failed the screening process?.......

No. Kind of like a background investigation for somebody who has never been caught drunk driving... It doesn't mean they haven't done it, just that there would be no data about it. When the whole investigation is to check on whether we have data placing you with terrorists, it is possible some can slip through that have been, but just haven't been caught.

All that being said. Around 2% of the refugees are single males. if you truly are afraid of terror plants the easiest solution would be a "no single males" rule. (Although I'd say single females could equally be radicalized).

Right, It is possible a terrorist will come in as a refugee, its also possible they will come in any number of ways.

This refugee fear is being prompted by those with something to gain. Its analogous to the Ebola freak out we had just prior to the last set of Congressional elections. Remember how if Obama did not stop immigration from West Africa ASAP we were all going to die? Our healthcare system was going to be overrun and our children were going to start dying of Ebola... Remember when the volunteer nurse from New York had to be quarantined ASAP because she was certain to have and spread Ebola?

Nothing sparks political controversy and voting like fear.

I understand one of the murderers in the Batacln Theater shootings was a woman.

I'll be the first to admit that this Syrian refugee situation presents an moral and ethical dilemma for me. I am all for helping folks out, but at what risk or to what expense? While, as a Christian, I believe that we are to do good to all (Gal. 6:10), I also know that there is a risk to my son's future. If people do not see this or won't admit it is a possibility they are being willfully ignorant. Should we provide aid? Absolutely. Should we bring them into our borders to do so? If necessary, yes, but very carefully. Should we re-settle these refugees permanently in our country? I don't think so. It is indeed a tough situation.

I understand that argument and agree that it presents a *personal* dilemma for the individual citizen. But our leaders are bound, first, by their responsibility to protect innocent Americans. IF, they can guarantee the safety of the citizens they are sworn to protect, then, they can accept the Syrian refugees/immigrants/terrorists.

Anything else is a deriliction of duty.

WHEN you believe in your culture you are sure it will help people to understand what is right when they live among you.

bring me their every three year old.

they will hate isis and join the military to kill them when they are grown.

that is the power of freedom

people get to REALLY understand the world with freedom.

that is unless of course you have traitors who spew lies and deny FACTS to kill this country.

And you wanted to take in a family like that.

Go ahead.

You'll get by, like you said.

No, I don't want to take in a family like that. You are so prejudice that you equate this terrorist with Syrian Refugees? Are you mad?

This all sounds good but we know there are more than a bunch of "three year olds."

They don't really believe in this American culture.

they hate this government and many of its people

There are THOUSANDS of things that could risk your son's future, allowing these refugees in is small compared to many things that are done without question.

It could be that allowing them in will help your son's future. Imagine had we not allowed the German refugee Albert Einstein to immigrate to the Untied States? Its quite possible WWII would have dragged on many more years resulting in the death of many more American sons.

then why didn't you people say just orphans or moms and babies.

because you see all Muslims as young men about to kill you

your right wing is wacked in the head
