Obama on Fox

Good interview; no fireworks - I think they actually like each other - but it was interesting to hear O'Reilly put the rightie perspective on a lot of his policies out there, and here Obama respond w/ his own perspective.

Cool, thanks. I didn't see it. I did see a girl write on Facebook that O'Reilly wins the *sshole award of the day. It wouldn't be the first time O'Reilly's been called that. Then again the girl just may not like him regardless of what he does.

He was just typical O'Reilly - the only reason someone would write that is if they hated him anyway. He didn't do anything out of bounds. He asked tough questions, but was respectful...

That's because he's an asshole.

It was pathetic, I would be ashamed if I were O'Reilly. Katie Couric would have given a tougher interview, I believe. It was just stupid softball questions which seemed to be scripted to allow Obama to 'dispel myths' about him being a liberal! I almost punched Bill through my TV when he asked Obama the SAME question he asked Bush about, how he deals with all the people who HATE him! I know of very FEW people who actually HATE Obama... they HATE his policies! Now with Bush, it was a different thing altogether, people really DO HATE Bush!

How did Obama respond? If he simply answered "Haters gonna hate." I'd've shit my pants (or maybe LOLered (if I were watching (obviously))).

Ridiculous. First, O'Reilly didn't water down anything; he gave the interview he always gives, and asked tough questions, not softballs.

Second, he's right; there are tons of people who HATE Obama, and not just his policies. As he stated, it was the same w/ Bush.

No, O'Reilly let him off the hook far too many times to be claiming he is the "no spin zone!" He just sat there and accepted whatever Obama had to say, and moved on to his next question, he had very little follow up, and didn't challenge much. Maybe it was because of time restraints, or maybe he wanted to go soft on Obama... but it was certainly not the hard-hitting interviews I have seen O'Reilly do before.

As for Bush Hate vs. Obama Hate... I can assure you, there are FAR MORE people who genuinely HATE the man, George W. Bush, than Barak Obama! You can think whatever you want to, and you can imagine it's the same thing, but it's just not. I have said many times, I actually LIKE the person, Obama... If he had always been talking like Ronald Reagan, and sincerely believed in his policies, I would have voted for him over McCain, any day of the week! People don't HATE Obama... oh, there are always SOME who do, but the vast majority do not HATE the man... they HATE his policies!

O'Reilly asked him about redistribution of wealth, socialistic aspects of the health plan, hate for him - I don't consider those softballs.

As for which Prez was hated more, I would have to reject the assurances of a hack such as yourself. I see no difference whatsoever in the level of hate for Bush vs. Obama. Only a true hack would try to portray it as you are - those crazy lefties really hated the man, but we rational righties reserve our hate for the policies.....

Pelosi says the question to Obama on 'those that hate him' was completely inappropriate. :)

If he had been to hard on Obama then Obama or any other future president would never go on his show again.
