Obama: Jesus supports my plan for higher taxes on the wealthy

Or you could look at Jesus' acts and deeds and realise that Obama is absolutely and obviously correct.

how so? do explain yourself.

You really are retarded. Why must I constantly teach you?

my post from yesterday describing how dune "debates"

once again, dunetard can't explain himself.

how dune debates:

dune - you're wrong

poster - why?

dune - because you're wrong

poster - what? can you explain?

dune - because you're wrong and too stupid to figure out why.

dune proves me right again

actually, that's what I'm contrasting it to.....one said he believed he's doing what God wanted, the other says he's doing it and expects God to go along with it......

Bush didn't say he believed he was doing what God wanted...he said God spoke to him and TOLD him what to do...

From The Guardian, Thursday 6 October 2005

One of the delegates, Nabil Shaath, who was Palestinian foreign minister at the time, said: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I am driven with a mission from God'. God would tell me, 'George go and fight these terrorists in Afghanistan'. And I did. And then God would tell me 'George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq'. And I did."

Mr Bush went on: "And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, 'Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East'. And, by God, I'm gonna do it."

are you really denying you criticized bush for saying that. lmao.

Yes I am...and unless you've got some evidence, everyone other than you and the two or three trolls who follow you around will know you were lying once again.

But hey, you've told so many...what's one MORE lie?

i'm not lying. you did criticize him. that is 100% truth.

You crack me up. If we're doing to dream up a best tax plan, and you've acknowledged that yours is a dream, it should be more progressive at the top than your proposal. That isn't a defense of the status quo.

You truly are a fucking idiot. Every major change to the tax code is a 'dream' as you call it. I stated it would be hard to get the status quo politicians on board.

As for it being 'more progressive on top'. It has to flatten out on top moron. But do highlight the problem you have. Run numbers to show us where your problem lies with my proposal. Instead of stomping your feet and whining... show us what it is you mean.

Also, do highlight why it should be MORE progressive on top. As it is we already are protecting the low and middle income families.

Start with a standard deduction of $30k (adjusted for inflation annually) for each adult and then tax every dollar over that $30k at 20% until you hit a million, then every dollar over a million is taxed at 30%. This is simple, easy to understand, fair and progressive. It protects the low-income individuals and couples from paying federal income taxes. It provides the middle-income families a lower effective tax rate than the wealthy. This plan would encompass ALL income, including earned income, capital gains and dividend income.

A person making $30k pays an effective rate of 0%.

A person making $50k pays an effective rate of 8%.

A person making $100k pays an effective rate of 14%.

A person making $200k pays en effective rate of 17%.

A person making $1mm pays an effective rate of 19.4%

Every dollar over that gets hit at 30% according to my plan.

A person making $2mm pays an effective rate 24.7%

A person making $10mm pays an effective rate of 28.94%

What about that is not 'progressive enough' for you?

i, yurt, endorse this plan

Well then show us what evidence you've got that proves your allegation.

You do have some actual proof, right?

...til then it's just the latest Yurt lie.

so when you never provided evidence of your punctuation error....then that meant you were lying? or, at least until you provide evidence, it is just the latest zappa lie.

oooops

Obama: Jesus would back my tax-the-rich policy

Obama said that as a person who has been "extraordinarily blessed," he is willing to give up some of the tax breaks he enjoys because doing so makes economic, and religious sense.

"For me as a Christian, it also coincides with Jesus's teaching that for unto whom much is given, much shall be required," Obama said, quoting the Gospel of Luke.

:corn:

the J card has been played.

You are so desperate that now you are putting words in President Obama's mouth?

So that would be "no" you DON'T have any evidence to back you allegation...just as I thought.

:good4u:

thanks for admitting as much...

THese numbers are before deductions and loopholes, Right?

You are so desperate that now you are putting words in President Obama's mouth?

Tell us Jarod, how did he do that?

It is quite amusing that you make a comment like that given your propensity to put words in others mouths. You have yet to show us where Republicans on the board were 'hoping for a double dip recession'

"Jesus would back my tax-the-rich policy" - President Obama did not say this! Those are your words, not his.

I never said that Republicans "said" they were hoping for a double dip recession. It is clear that many were however.

actually tard....they are cnn's words as well. obama did effectively say that. funny how you don't call out cnn though.

THat is not what he said. Its simply not what he said, no matter how bad CNN wants to get hits on there webcite or how bad you want to make the President seem.

I called you out because YOU are the one I was talking to. CNN is a corporation, not a person, I still belive the two things are different.
