Obama Hugo Chavez

maybe and maybe not - if the times needed it i would have been in favor of it

Screw that... if Bush had seriously proposed something like that before 2004, I would have voted for Kerry and I couldn't stand Kerry.

I realize President Obama hasn't proposed it either, but we don't need a monarchy regardless of the party in power and it is too f'ing hard to get an incumbent out once he/she has entrenched him/herself in the office.

while i tend to agree, i am a rather strict constitutionalist, but i do not think it would have gotten past congress

oat, i would not have voted for bush either way

oat, i would favor a constitutional monarchy where the monarch only has the power to veto legislation and that could be overridden by a 80% vote by the senate - this would be in addition to our current system

the monarch would age out at 70 and would designate his or her heir who would have to be between 30 and 40 with the approval of the senate

There you have it... the death of the United States of America. :pke:

I couldn't even imagine Bush still being in the Oval Office or having the ability to appoint his successor (Cheney?). Quite frankly, if Bush could have run again, I would have voted for Obama prayerfully pleading that we had heard the last of George W. Bush except to hear that he got a job at "Walmart" as a greeter.

I hate to admit the fact that I did vote for Bush... twice even, but the second time was only because of Kerry.

You may have caught me in other threads saying that I think we need to get rid of the career politician. Two terms then home you go!

I was just hoping you would enjoy the pun. By your comment about death, I take it your procedure is risky with a high mortality rate? If that is so, I wish you well.
I'll send him some good thoughts during meditation. It's about the closest I get to prayer.
