Obama: Egypt isn't an ally...

That argument is based on a false premise. That President Obama has a poor record. Killing OBL was small stuff? Preventing another great depression was small stuff? Saving our auto industry and the industries which depend on it were small stuff? Beging the long overdue reforms to our antiquated and obsolete health care system is small stuff? Advancing womens rights in the work place is small stuff? Instituting financial reforms and consumer protections is small stuff? Ending the immoral war in Iraq was small stuff? Reforming medicare and DOD aquisitions saving hundreds of billions in waste and fraud is small stuff? Improving our image abroad after Bush and the neocons engendered so much hate for Americans is small stuff? Beginning the drawdown in Afghanistan is small stuff? Recapitalizing our banks is small stuff? Repealing "Don't ask don't tell" is small stuff? Helping to topple Mohmar Khaddafi is small stuff? Reversing Bush's insane policy on torture is small stuff? Boosting fuel efficiency standards is small stuff? Increased support for veterens is small stuff? Tightening sanctions on Iran is small stuff? Achieving the New Start Treaty with Russia by radically reducing the numbers of nuclear war heads is small stuff? Authorizing the FDA to regulate tobacco, the most dangerous drug in human history, is small stuff? Expanding federal funding for stem cell research by eliminating the asinine Bush era restrictions is small stuff?

Yea well if this is small stuff to you I say keep it coming!

how did obama save the auto industry?

how did he reform medicare?

how did he end the war in iraq? his plan or bush's?

i could go on...but too much...we can start with those three

As I've stated elsewhere. I'm not in the habit of answering rhetorical questions.

mott....those are not rhetorical questions. they are in fact questions for you to answer in order to back up your assertions. i do expect a reply, unless of course you can't back up your assertions.

look up rhetorical question the next time a dictionary hits you on the head.

They aren't rhetorical. The reality is he "got us out of Iraq" following the plan already set down by Bush, he doubled-down in Afghanistan of his own accord, using less troops than asked for and more than his base wanted trying a "compromise" that put us deeper into a crappy situation.

Killing OBL, good thing, one that any President would have done. And I do mean any. Even Carter would have gone out on that limb.

The auto industry was not "saved" by Obama. Bankruptcy would not have ended it, it just would have changed massively the collective bargaining agreement with their Union, now that (the agreement) Obama saved, and handed a company to...

Financial reforms? He can't even get Glass-Steagall back. He's thrown money in hole and hoped for the best with pretty much the result I predicted, although I didn't expect the housing market to be so poor that Inflation is hidden in the loss of value of our homes... I predicted that we'd hit bottom and then, if we continued on that path, have a lost decade like Japan... So far, exactly what I said.

He did not reform Medicare.. Although in 2010 at least one of his advisor proposed vouchers for it.. http://www.forbes.com/sites/aroy/20...posed-voucherizing-medicare-way-back-in-2010/ You know those things he is trying to say Ryan is forcing on people (lie)...

Yeah, boosting fuel efficiency standards is small stuff. Bush did it too... http://articles.cnn.com/2007-12-19/...ill-production-of-fossil-fuels?_s=PM:POLITICS

As for the image abroad being improved it seems you are not up on current events. You remember that Arab spring? Well, they seem to hate us exactly as much as before and just recently killed an Ambassador, I'm sure that if you look at a current news show on TV you might even be informed on the incident.. What you call improved and what I call improved are clearly different concepts.

Winston Churchill was made an honorary US citizen back in the 60s, on the grounds his mother was American (and, presumably, that he was too awesome to have merely been a British knight).

Clearly. I hear he's trying to back it out now, but I haven't seen any statements. My favorite bit was when he gave the PM of England DVDs that he couldn't even play as they are incompatible with UK DVD players... and giving back the bust of Churchill. Those are gems.

Saying, "We'll see, it depends on how much the nation gets behind the games." is a HUGE insult, but sending back a gift not so much, eh? Now... back to the topic. Egypt, an ally since 1989, can't be thinking this is a good thing.

At the risk of being accused of pedantry, Gordon Brown was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama says the U.S. would not consider Egypt an ally, ‘‘but we don’t consider them an enemy.’’

Obama said in an interview with the Spanish-language network Telemundo that Egypt is a ‘‘new government that is trying to find its way.’’ And he warned that if the Egyptian government takes actions showing ‘‘they’re not taking responsibility,’’ then it would ‘‘be a real big problem.’’

Meanwhile, protesters angered by an anti-Islam film stormed the U.S. Embassy compound in Yemen’s capital, Sanaa on Thursday. They were on the embassy’s grounds but did not enter the building housing the offices. Demonstrators removed the embassy’s sign on the outer wall and set tires ablaze. Once inside the compound, they brought down the U.S. flag and burned it.

Yemen is home to al-Qaida’s most active branch and the United States is the main foreign supporter of the Yemeni government’s counterterrorism campaign. The government on Tuesday announced that al-Qaida’s No. 2 leader in Yemen was killed in an apparent U.S. airstrike, a major blow to the terror network.

where were the egyptian police when the protesters gathered outside the us embassy in cairo and stormed the walls

the egyptian police finally showed up after obama's statement

mitten's foreign policy knowledge is a joke and his foreign policy advisers are former bushco foreign advisers...when he listens to them

as for yemen, the yemeni government has no use for al queda and that is why the us is killing al qaeda with missiles launched from drones

the attack on the us consulate in bengazi was done by an al qaeda faction in revenge for killing the number 2 al qaeda leader

ps the film maker is not an israeli american but an egyptian coptic christian, did not have jewish supporters contributing $5 million, but made the film with a budget of $60,000 and has a criminal record and been in jail twice
