Obama caught lying

Coal miners in southeastern Ohio are blasting an ad from President Obama that claims they were forced to "be props in (Mitt) Romney's commercial."

Fine...now all you've got to do is prove the letter actually came from rank and file miners and wasn't just a decoy from the same mining company official who earlier acknowledged that workers were told attendance was "mandatory"

A group of 500 miners has now penned a letter and released a video insisting that no one was forced to attend the rally and demanding that the Obama campaign disavow the ad. The workers at Century mine, in Beallsville, Ohio, which is operated by Murray Energy subsidiary American Energy Century, said they "voluntarily and enthusiastically" attended the event.

are you calling them liars? way to win the hearts of coal workers....

Now just prove they actually PENNED the letter the miner read while on camera.

Are you calling the mining company official who acknowledged that workers were told attendance was "mandatory" a liar?

"These ads state that we were forced to attend this rally, and that is blatantly false," coal worker Mitch Miracle said on the video, reading from a letter sent to the president's campaign. "Since your approval is attached to these ads, you may not wish to support these mistruths. Why would you lie about the 500 working miners who have signed this letter? We, the employees of Century mine, would request that you immediately stop these false ads."

Then you must have some proof that what was read was ACTUALLY PENNED by the miners.

You've lied to me too many times for me to take your word on this.

If a company exec can make employee attendance at a Romney event mandatory, as he has already acknowledged, then he can surely put together a letter to be read by an employee worried about possibly losing his job.

so you're calling the miners liars.

got it.

good strategy. and way to start the personal insults. petty, but, your usual.

So that's a "no" you don't ave any proof to back your allegation...got it!

And maybe you missed this question:

Are you calling the mining company official who acknowledged that workers were told attendance was "mandatory" a liar?

my allegations? it is the miner reading the statement 'allegation'.

seriously, all i've done is quote what they said and what the miner read. if you want to lie and claim that is my allegation, have at it. personally, i'm sick of your childish antics.

no, i am not calling him a liar. you apparently do not realize the difference between mandatory and forced. for example, high school attendance is mandatory. however, friends and i skipped school a few times. we were not forced to go to school, despite it being mandatory.

The bold is bullshit of the highest order.

The idea that mandatory school attendance is in any way similar to an employer requiring its employees to attend a political event is bullshit. Think for just a second about the consequences of violating the mandates. If you're still having trouble understanding why they are different, you're an idiot or a lair.

then do show us the consequences the people who didn't attend faced. go on, prove you're not just spouting bullshit.

"We had people that did not show up that day and there were no consequences or repercussions taken against any employee that did not attend the Romney event."

For that to be valid you would have to show that the employer made it known that failure to attend a mandatory event would not result in any discipline whatsoever. Saying after the fact that while it was "mandatory" there would be no consequences is also bullshit of the highest order.

I'm sure that you and your friends knew the limited stakes involved when you skipped school.

lmao....so you have no proof there were any consequences

I don't need proof that there were consequences. When your employer tells you that attendance at something is "mandatory" (their word, not mine) it is generally understood to mean that you have to be there or there will be adverse consequences. If you can show me that the employer told its employees that attendance was "mandatory" but that there would be no consequences for not showing up and told the employees all of this prior to the event, I will re-evaluate my opinion of the matter.

Based on what we know, the after the fact lack of consequences is bullshit of the highest order.

what we know is, employees did not show up. they most likely knew there would be no consequences.

your speculation that mandatory = compulsion is pure fiction. all you can you give us is pure speculation. you say the executive was telling the truth that is was mandatory, but lying that there would be no repercussions...you can't have it both ways. you only want to believe the man when he says what you want him to say, but when he says something that doesn't fit your world view....all of a sudden it is bullshit.

how sad your world view is dung.
