If they publically support incarcerating people quietly sitting in a park I would hope they vote against them.

A voter card is specifically listed in the law in CO as not being acceptable identification to vote. I'm willing to bet that they have the same requirement in TX that they do in CO since it is based on the past rulings of the SCOTUS. Texas was simply attempting to limit accepted ID to a state issued ID rather than some of the more "loose" standards (like the aforementioned copy, yes copy, of a utility bill).

IMO, this is foolish considering past ID laws and rulings on them. The state can issue a photo ID for voting when they register, and so long as it is free to obtain it can be required then to vote. I don't think TX did this with this law though. They need to make it easy for those who are legal to register to vote to get one of the cards that they'll require or the courts, and likely the executive, will constantly undermine their efforts.

apparently, felons and people who think others are incarcerated for sitting in a park, should not be permitted to vote......they both lack the requisite characteristics to make good choices.....

I do understand comprehension problems.....I see it in one who thinks that sitting in the park on a sunny summer day doing something that is illegal is the same thing as sitting in a park on a sunny summer day.......any one who has that sort of comprehension problem is obviously not competent to vote......you're barely competent to post.....

note that the decision required free photo ids from the state

in the texas ruling the unevenness of the requirements demonstrated that certain groups of voters were being discriminated against

i do not have enough information on the wisconsin ruling to say why it was decided but i am sure that the decisions will be appealed and we will find out why they are either upheld or overruled

Not understanding one has to vote for a candidate in order for laws to be changed is the one with the comprehension problem.

no.....the point is, the law hasn't changed, so when you say someone was arrested for simply sitting in a park you demonstrated total idiocy.....the fact you are still arguing seals the deal on your lack of comprehension.....
