Oath Keepers Pleading Guilty To Conspiracy For Obstruction Of Govt

Hello Micawber,

I disagree. The decision that the opposition is irredeemable, devoid of reason and hate filled monsters is a rational one Mr. Spock would have reached exactly as I have.
Continuing to deal with these vile subhuman fascist treasonous scum as if they were not so is irrational. I have no respect for any of them and will not behave as though I do.

Live long and prosper.

I do not deal with them. Anybody who goes off on me gets placed on my Ignore List, and I never take any names off the list. It is huge. I do put it out there quite publicly in my signature so that people understand they only get one chance with me. I do that because I have noticed there are a lot of people who have the ability to turn their anger on and off. If they do not feel threatened by the other, they are able to tone it down and keep it academic.

That allows me to have great discussions devoid of insults and personal attacks, even with people who are nasty to others.

And often that leads to long standing relationships and friendships. Because of that, even though I have a very large Ignore List, I also have a very large Friends List. That helps me feel no remorse at placing names on the Ignore List if they deserve it.

I am also careful to avoid talking about the people on my Ignore List. I am not going to talk to them, so I have no business talking about them. I am not here to talk about other posters. I come to talk about politics.

I like that quote from Eleanor Roosevelt. Small minds talk about other people, average minds talk about current events, great minds talk about ideas. That's wisdom.

The business of other posters here has very little bearing on being politically aware or well informed. I like to be well informed so that when I vote, I have no doubts about how I am voting and why.

Our nation depends on the active participation of a well informed populace. I am just doing my part for the USA. That does not include telling off the immature. Doing so is a distraction from the purpose of this place as I see it. A time waster and more. Humans are creatures of habit. If one makes a habit of going off on others, how does one curtail that in real life? I prefer to try to control my habits.

I always ask myself: Am I in control of my habits? Or are they controlling me...

Well, that's a constant battle. After all. I am only human. I am not a Vulcan.

Doing a good job of controlling one's own habits is logical.

Oops. Maybe I am part Vulcan.

Hello ThatOwlWoman,

Thanks.

The idea that she was murdered is false by definition. A murder is a lawless killing. She was killed by an officer OF THE LAW, doing his or her duty to defend a public institution and a government body. Not murder at all. Had Ashli Babbit complied with the law she would not have attempted to break and enter into a restricted government building, and she would not have been shot in the act of breaking the law. All she had to do was simply be a law abiding citizen.

You are right. Shooting the criminal bimbo was absolutely no different than any of the Reichtards calling her a hero shooting someone crawling into THEIR home through a broken window. How many threads have we seen the gun-humpers start about "hero" homeowners stopping home invaders with their firearms? The only difference here is that the armed person is authorized BY LAW to protect that building and its occupants, as you pointed out.

I can guarantee you that if the bimbo had been an allegedly unarmed black woman in the midst of a riot of other black ppl attacking the capitol, the LEO who shot her would be hailed as a hero by the racist Reichwingers.

Got that right!
