I wonder why all those students go through a selection process more difficult than getting into Harvard, if they get nothing out of it. In the real world, Stuyvesant is one of the best high schools in the world. Most of the high schools that even begin to compete with it are either private (and expensive), or at the very least in exclusive communities(and very expensive). These immigrant kids will have the possibility to go to Stuyvesant for free. Obviously, they have to pass the test to get in, but that is an academic issue, not a financial issue.

If you are an immigrant in Texas, you often end up in a terrible school, with no options. If you are an immigrant in NYC, you can go to one of the best schools in the world.

Ahh, but there is a grain of truth to what he's saying....consistently NYC "struggles" with taking slum lords to task, providing decent, affordable housing to the regular working folk and addressing it's homeless problem as well as jobs with livable wages. The case is still on appeal in PA. The "unconstitutional" vote was 3-2 along party lines.

That's a lie. None of the shithead cases have gone to SCOTUS. The state right-wing judges who declared the law "unconstitutional" have as much justification doing it as trump did attacking the Capitol.

we will never know what the will of the people would have been in an election conducted constitutionally......you will have to deal with the fact that the election that put the PastyFaced Pedophile in the Oval Office violated the law in both WI and PA......not to mention other states which ignored the procedures specified by their state legislatures.......
