NYC agrees to pay $13 million or nearly $10K each to 1300 protesters/plaintiffs who were beaten and arrested in 2020 during the George Floyd riots/demonstrations.

Then-Bill de Blasio, argued that thousands of New Yorkers who "exercised their constitutional rights" during the widespread George Floyd demonstrations were "corralled into places where they could not escape."

Innocent kids who were just standing there peacefully protesting were trapped in groups, pepper sprayed, and tortured in hot police vehicles. The suit addresses those who did nothing but stand in a crowd of peaceful protesters

Looks to be 1300 according to the article that says that many people/protestors who were arrested will (if passed) each
receive a check of almost 10K. These criminals certainly deserve that money, wouldn't you say?

It's not lifechanging money,
and if these protesters were unjustly fucked up in the eyes of the mayor,
it seems like the least the city could do by way of apology.

The article said 1300 “arrested or subjected to force.” Not merely arrested.

I guess I wasn’t clear enough for some as braindead as you. Arrested means LEGITIMATELY ARRESTED. Charges that actually stick.

You're conflating reparations with a lawsuit settlement. Are you intentionally lying again, Hater or do you truly not know the difference?

FWIW, I'm against throwing people money for reparations. Build up the schools and neighborhoods of American lower income areas, but don't just throw them money.

As for a lawsuit, "Don't do the crime if you can't do the time". NY broke the law and harmed innocent Americans. The fuckers should pay.

And you're saying that these mobsters were beaten by the cops for merely peacefully protesting? LOL! Unlike you and perhaps every other
lefty here at this forum and elsewhere, I watched on FOX NEWS the actual video footage of many of those criminal mobsters do tremendous
damage to people, cops and businesses while being forcefully and rightfully subdued by the police. The point remains is that YOU and other
criminal loving lefties will always stand on the side of radical lefty mobs over that of our police. This ridiculous attempt to give these criminals
10K each for their criminal activities is just one more reason why the cops in NYC are retiring or leaving that hellhole city in droves. Oh yeah,
was the blue city of NY one of those in which the cops were defunded. Nothing new here, lefties are for and continue to support lawlessness
and disorder.
