Yeah, the House Ethics Committee announced an investigation so stepping away was the proper thing to do.

On another note, it will be popcorn time if Susan Rice has to face Trey Gowdy, can't wait for that.

It could be argued that Comey shared 33% of Hillary losing the election, along with 33% of the Russia claims, and 33% of Hillary's own botched campaign.

there was an inordinate amount of unmasking,
and the pattern of the unmasking quickened as the election grew near,and afterwards.
Recall Rice is not an investigator either.

"Nefarious" is about the same as "collusion"=
