Nunes memo exposes abuse of power


The memo’s central indictment is that top Obama administration officials knowingly and willfully used unverified information paid for by the Hillary Clinton campaign, some of which came from Russian intelligence, in a secret court document to justify a counter-intelligence investigation of the Donald Trump campaign during the 2016 presidential election. This corrupt process was later the basis for a campaign to sabotage the incoming Trump administration and to fuel a witch hunt against the president.

According to the memo, high ranking FBI officials repeatedly sought, received and renewed Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrants to engage in surveillance of members of the Trump campaign during the election. These officials, including then-Director James Comey and recently removed Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, justified the warrant requests before the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISC), in part, with information generated by Christopher Steele, who was working on behalf of Hillary Clinton’s campaign for the firm Fusion GPS. Steele’s main contact at the Justice Department was Associate Deputy Attorney General Bruce Ohr, whose wife was also employed by Fusion GPS as a Russia expert working on anti-Trump opposition research.

Mr. Ohr was well aware of Steele’s anti-Trump purpose and the unreliability of the evidence, but the court was told none of this. And, according to the memo, McCabe testified to the committee that without the Steele dossier no FISA "surveillance warrant would have been sought."

All based on Nunes word, and only Nunes word, his presentation of what he thinks the documents say, pure conjecture, and Nunes doesn't have a reputation of being honest nor nonpartisan.

If anything, Nunes memo has just disqualified the House Committee and the Republicans on it as a credible entity, did nothing to discredit Mueller, in fact, probably increased his image as the final authority on Russian involvement in American elections

None of it is based on Nunes' word it is based on FBI and DOJ documents which have now proven conclusively that the FBI knowingly and intentionally used "salacious and unverified," opposition research to spy on the Trump campaign and actually payed Steele $160,000 for this FSB disinformation, you're fucking done and so is Mueller, it's over.

Robbins is a Trump sycophant. I looked at his editorials. In one, he referred to Trump as a "very stable genius".

The memo admits that the FBI's Russia investigation started in July 2016 as a result of information that had nothing to do with the Steele dossier:

"The Papadopoulos information triggered the opening of an FBI counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016 by FBI agent Pete Strzok."

Also, the memo says nothing about Mueller or Obama.

Finally, which of the alleged coup plotters were Democrats?

The memo proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that the pissgate dossier was central to the FISA warrant and the FBI knew that it was funded by the DNC and was "salacious and unverified," but they used it amy way, can you hear that? It's the sound of the end of the Mueller investigation, too bad so sad, better luck next time.
