Let's imagine that there is a climate crisis. I don't think there is; in fact I think the whole claim that burning fossil fuels is causing potentially catastrophic global warming, etc, etc, is a hoax - pure political BS.



But let's image that it's not, and that we all need to stop burning natural gas, coal, oil, petrol and so on, to fuel the generation of electrical power, because the Greenhouse gases they pump into the atmosphere will kill planet Earth in short order!



It's pointless spending a fortune on Wind turbines, EVs, solar energy panels, hydro-electric power generators and other green energy technology, because they aren't even close to being a feasible replacement for fossil fuels when it comes to providing the energy that America and the rest of the West need to keep functioning (I mean, look at what happened in California when they went "Green", the dickhead Democrats that run the place couldn't keep the lights on, and the cost of electricity went through the roof.



The answer is very simple folks...

Who said they have to be a complete replacement? We are trying to save the planet by slashing the use of fossil fuels. Why do you think that can only be accomplished by total elimination? Your premise ie wrong.

Well, two points...

Slashing fossil fuels won't "save the planet." The planet's doing fine.

As for solar and wind, they are total losers. We should dump them almost entirely.

A fundamentalist style religion, actually. This religion routinely discards and ignores the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics and the Stefan-Boltzmann law.
They have never defined 'catastrophic global warming' or even 'global warming'.
Note this religion denies and discards mathematics as well.

Don't need to replace fossils as 'fuel'. Fossils don't burn. They are not used as fuel.

Solar power is the most expensive method of producing electric power, watt for watt. It also is not on demand power (that's important!).
Wind energy is the 2nd most expensive method of producing electric power, watt for watt. It also is not on demand power.
Coal, oil, and natural gas power plants are cheap, easy to build and maintain, and offer on demand power.

The SDTC (formerly California) does not have sufficient generating capacity. They must import most of their power, on lines that are heavily overloaded. If a line trips, the WRIC will NOT sacrifice itself to save the SDTC. The SDTC goes BLACK.

Fossils aren't used as fuel. The government has NO authority to dictate energy markets.
