Now...who has the guts to admit.....

I think quite a lot of it. No doubt, he wouldn't have the opportunities he has had at the end of games if his defense wasn't holding opponents to just a few scores, and if his kicker wasn't making amazing kicks. But it's very clear that he plays his best when the game is on the line, and that he has led a whole series of spectacular, game-winning drives. That's no fluke.

Beyond that, he just has "it," in the same way that a guy like Tom Brady does. He wins, and believes he is going to win. This is something that spreads through the whole team when someone at the QB position has it - the defense plays better, the kicker starts to believe, the fans start to believe. It's a real intangible.

Dont forget he prays in a very visable way.

Well said...

This doesn't bother me; people make way too big a deal about it.

At the end of every game in the NFL, players gather at mid-field to pray. They also do this when a guy gets injured and has to be carted off. I'm cool w/ that.

I am okay with it also, I simply would like to point out that part of the hype is how he does it in such a visable way, alone, with all the cameras watching adds to his hype.

Ha, I love to piss you off.

Here is the thing, its not about how good of a football player you are... if that were the case Cam Newton would be the one with all the hype. Its about how well you can connect with the audience, and if making a show over praying does that, your value goes up. You command more money and you get more endorsements. Im willing to bet that while Newton is clearly the better football player, Tebow will make more money over the next few years.

Its not about how talented you are, its about how much hype you can make.

Oh you don't piss me off, I am just not used to seeing this level of idiocy so early in the day, it usually takes a few hours for you fucktards to drink enough or smoke enough crack to get this stupid.

I'm willing to bet Cam Newton is a better athlete, and as a result, will have better contracts than Tebow. It's ALL about how talented you are, dummy!

It has definitely become a big part of the "Tebow story," which is a big story right now. But I'd rather see that than Suh stomping on a player or Harrison trying to take a guy's head off.

He's very good for the league right now, imo.

All that cussing was not being pissed off? You sure seemed pissed...

I disagree, its simply not all about talent, its about how good of an entertainer you are and what type of connection you make with the audience. Sure you have to be talented, dont get me wrong, but once you are talented, its about how good of a clown you are.

I agree. I just hate to see religen used.

Well, I am sorry... I don't see how Tim Tebow has anything at all to do with a defensive player forcing a fumble, when Tebow isn't even on the field. I'll give you that Tebow can inspire his offense, and rally his team... no doubt... but the things which have happened to put the Broncos in contention to win the games, is not all Tebow, it's mostly the defense.

What the fuck do you mean, idiot.. "exploit the people who are impressed?" Last I checked, a QB on a football team doesn't rely much on exploitation of the fans to do his job... so I fail to see how this helps him much. How does he "exploit" them Jughead? By making them look at him pray? How does his praying "gain" him anything on the field? As for PR... we see what kind of ridicule and bashing he takes, is THAT the "advantage" you think he gets?

And just who the fuck are YOU to question his sincerity? Did someone die an make you the Pope or something?

This reads with a pissed tone, dont you think?

Cursing doesn't mean I am pissed off.

I don't care if you disagree, you have proven yourself to be a moron of the highest order, it would be a shocker if you agreed! In the NFL, it IS about talent, it's ALL about talent, and it has very little (if anything at all) to do with how much of a "show" you put on. This is not pro wrestling, this is pro FOOTBALL... there IS a difference!

No, it reads like someone who is asking a fucking idiot a question he can't answer... (notice, you never answered.)

How does Tebow "exploit the fans" with his praying?

How does this supposed "exploitation" benefit Tebow or his team?

You can't answer, because the premise itself is stupid and retarded.... like YOU!

Dixie, I like his chances, WMD, McCain will win, Mission Accomplished, 1/3, Jesus gave me investment advice in the shower, Bush looks hot in Bluejeans....

Your statement that I have proven to be a moron is a great complament, considering your track record of being 180 degrees wrong... over and over again.

I would disagree. I think the attitude and the inspiration can effect both sides of the ball. And that is where Tebow excells. He wants to win and he makes his team want to win. When that happens it is contagious.

Come on, Dixie, how many times has Bama won games even though the opposing team had better athletes? "Bryant can take his and beat yours, and then he can turn around and take yours and beat his."

Im sure he will be a success in the NFL, he just does not deserve the hype, I dont really understand it. He has good PR.

I haven't seen him asking for it, people seem to focus on him because of the "controversy"... If you can get the press to ignore it, it won't be in your "face" as much. However, they like "controversy", even false controversy like Tebow's religion.

Okay, so this is what you've resigned yourself to now? Every time you have been bested in debate and made to look a fool, you are going to play the "Dixie's always wrong" card? That's really sad and pathetic, even for you.

Again, I am not disputing that Tebow brings a sense of motivation to win, and inspires his team. I get that. But when we evaluate the X's and O's, what is winning these games for the Bronco's is team effort, not Tebow's talent. I think far too much credit is given to Tebow, and not enough is given to the defensive players who have made some phenomenal plays and put forth an enormous effort on the field, to get their team in contention to win. Credit needs to go to the kicker as well, Tim Tebow isn't the one making the winning field goal... he's just praying for it, like other Bronco fans.

That the cameras are watching is not his fault. Seriously, the cameras don't focus on all the other prayer that happens on the field. They focus on Tebow because they like to define the conversation and create false controversy.

The only contraversy Ive seen is SNL, but Ive seen a lot of Focus. I belive its intentional on his part. Contraversy is almost always good for your PR, to a point.

1) Ive not been "bested".
2) You are always wrong.
