Yes, Melania Trump is a citizen of the United States. She became a naturalized citizen on July 28, 2006. She was born in Slovenia and became a citizen after immigrating to the U.S.

But what she did is exactly what I described in the OP, and yet the Trumper said such a person should be stripped of citizenship.

I personally do not think she should be stripped of citizenship, that was my argument in the OP.
