When I was just trying to help- Help keep the public safe- while maintaining people's 2nd Amendment Rights.

I do not believe that laws prevent crime- I DO BELIEVE THEY ARE PUT IN PLACE TO DETER CRIMES.

I mean if they do not- THEN LET'S JUST FUCKING DO AWAY WITH ALL OF THE FUCKING LAWS and let's just have total fucking CHAOS!

We'll all just go down and buy the guns of our choice, and it's every man, woman, and child for themselves. You know like the OLD WEST!

It can't be much worse than what we have today with the GUN CRISIS!

I know this sounds like a loaded question but I'm not intending it to be, it's just my ignorance of guns speaking. If I'm understanding what you are saying correctly the type of guns needed to commit mass killings have been with us for awhile. Was getting access to AR-15's harder back in the day compared to now? (for instance someone could have wanted to commit a mass shooting but couldn't get access to a weapon) Or were they available for those who really wanted one?

I would assume the internet has made getting access to (off market or illegal) guns more accessible but I don't know that for a fact. Maybe access to guns were as accessible back in the day as well. (Or could it possibly have been easier because they were less traceable back when?)

Mass killings is a concern we should all be sharing. One side blames mass killings on the Mentally Retarded and mentally challenged, and one side blames them on AR-15's and Semi-automatic Weapons. I try to come into the middle of their argument. And work outward in both directions, as I try to bring everyone's concerns towards the middle.

First of all, I would point out that Tim McVeigh was not retarded, and he was a Mass Killer. Perhaps he didn't kill with a gun, but it crushes the idea that Mass Killers are ALL retarded and mentally challenged. So, right there, that shows me that the Right are not trying to be honest or reasonable about Mass Killings before we ever get to the subject of guns or their capability to carry out mass killings. I believe anyone who has a deep and resentful hatred for something is capable of mass murder. Some of the most intelligent people in the world are some of the most hateful people in the world. Putin is an example of someone intelligent, but is also a mass murderer.

Moving on to the Democrats argument, as they seem to be pointing at semi-Automatic weapons, but not so much the weapon itself, but their capability to Fire Rapidly, and be able to switch out high capacity magazines rapidly as well. Now, to me...............................that is an argument that is worth having first before we start profiling who would carry out a Mass MURDER- or NOT!

But, this is not the only argument out there between the right and left concerning guns and their capacities and capabilities!

It's a larger discussion than just this quandary. But to discuss the subject of guns, every argument that has been made, must eventually be discussed to determine if we should DO SOMETHING- OR NOT DO ANYTHING to prevent Mass Murders here in America.

I just don't want the argument to be about AR-15's as the argument is really about Capacity and not specifically about the type of Gun.

I mean if I had just a 9mm and 10 clips of 10 rounds, I could kill 100 people in less than just a matter of 5 minutes or less.

But, hey, I did not say I wanted to ban 9mm's or AR-15's or any guns- I am just presenting the argument that is in the air! I am just the newsboy here delivering a headline- SO PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME- ANYONE!
