Their families don't I can assure you. I saw many households with framed photos of their ancestors in their uniforms. German soldiers literally died for their country as did Americans in WWII. We don't desecrate our Vietnam dead do we?

It is really hard to get a handle on the lefties reasoning. One minute it's slavery, the next is taking up arms against the US.

The polls show that this is going to blowback on democrats big league

That's pretty messed-up. I wouldn't honor any German ancestors that served in WWII. Same with the Confederacy.

Yet there are German war graves all over Europe especially France! Will you be going over there to desecrate them?

So why are the French so tolerant about events that were far more recent, violent and destructive than a civil war which happened over 150 years and all of the participants are long dead? Maybe there is a lesson to be learnt here?
