I must have missed the part where Trump said muslimes can't practice their religion.

Of course, Obama's vaunted vetting process didn't stop Jihad Jane did it? And it was supposed to be one of the most rigorous screenings we have. Maybe instead of piling on Trump, you hand wringers could come up with a better way of keeping the Jihad Joe/Jane's out of our country? How many Americans have to die for your political correctness?

How do you propose stopping more Jihad Jane's from coming here and killing people since this one slipped through the vetting process?

How is Donald Trump's plan of asking everyone at the border if they are Muslim or not going to stop a terrorist from entering the Country?

I can explain how its going to piss of the non-violent Muslim street who we so desperately need on our side.

Actually we always ask them their religion as part of the refugee process. Want to know why? Because religious persecution is a reason for people to declare asylum. Didn't know that did you? You should become more informed.

How is Trumps plan going to make anyone safer? Does it not have a significant chance of actually harming our relationship with the very people we need, the Muslim Street.
 
Trump's "plan" is to ask people at the border if they're a Muslim if they're a Muslim and deny them based on that. It's the dumbest thing I've ever heard of in my life. Obviously everyone is just going to answer no to that question in such a case, especially any terrorists.

1) I don't endorse Trump's plan to ask people at the border if they are muslime or not. I think it is unworkable and stupid. However, I do think we should stop immigration from Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Iran, Somalia, Yemen and any other country that is a state sponsor of terrorism. Pretty simple. No questions asked. Christian, Hindu, Muslime whatever. Sorry, can't accommodate you right now

2) As for "pissing off the muslimes". I am tired of worrying about pissing off the muslimes. If they are that delicate to begin with then maybe they aren't so moderate to begin with.

I agree. The actual working of the plan is stupid. He didn't think it through. However, the general concept of halting immigration from that particular area of the world is sound and would garner much support in the United States unless of course you are a Desh/ISIS supporter.

1) While I don't agree with your proposed plan to limit immigration, I do not think it is unprecedented or insane, I do not even think it would be contrary to the American values expressed by our founders and held by so many Americans about Religious freedom. Its not insane like Trump's plan. I would disagree with any candidate who proposed it but not say it disqualifies him from being president. Republican Candidates wont propose it because they would upset the Fundy's whose money and votes they count on.

2) I don't want to give ISIL any ammunition in their quest to get as many followers as they can from the Muslim world.
