Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas warned that the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which has spent more than one billion dollars on services for illegal immigrants over the past year, now has insufficient funds to last through the hurricane season.
"We are expecting another hurricane hitting. We do not have the funds. FEMA does not have the funds to make it through the season and what -- what is imminent."

Hurricane Helene has ravaged the west coast of Florida and several states in the Southeast, flooding towns, destroying properties, and killing over 160 people. Florida’s Gulf Coast experienced record-breaking storm surge in some areas, with a wall of water many feet above the normal high tide line crashing onto the land. The Blue Ridge Mountains suffered major devastation, with at least 57 people dead in and around Asheville, North Carolina.

Congress recently provided $20 billion for FEMA's disaster-relief fund as part of a short-term government spending bill to fund the government through mid-December.

The Shelter and Services Program (SSP), administered by the FEMA in partnership with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), provides financial support to non-federal entities to provide humanitarian services to "noncitizen migrants." Between FY2023 and FY2024, at least $1 billion has been funneled into the program. In just 2024, over $20 million went to the NYC Office of Management and Budget, much of that money to pay for migrants.
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program, another FEMA-funded program, has also been repurposed into a fund for migrants via federal distributions to local social-service organizations. The funding allocated to the program has climbed dramatically over recent years, from $30 million in 2019 to $425 million in 2023.

With the additional reports from people on the ground, we can say that the Biden/Harris response and the FEMA response to the two hurricanes have been atrocious.

Well they say they need more money and these two Hurricanes are considered EMERGENCIES so WHY hasn't the Republicans who control the house called them back into session and passed a bill giving them more money to work with.
That is where spending bills HAVE to start by law.
And yes the money they had is all gone and we all know where it went. It is too late to cry about it now.
And I am sure there will be some MAGA on here crying why doesn't Biden recall them and make them do their JOB for once.
Well maybe he should , but I don't think that would shut the MAGA morons up.
They would start crying he should have let the Republicans do their job and not try to run Congress too.

IF you want to stop this kind of thing from happening get CONGRESS off their lazy asses and write spending bills putting restrictions on where the money gets spent.
AS I said MORON that money is ALREADY spent crying over it will not bring it back and is a waste of time

People have died waiting for help from their own government that they pay for.

And we also have to remember there are only so many people that work for FEMA and we did have TWO hurricanes happen in a short time.
They can only do so much at one time , they are NOT superman,

Diverting funds from those who pay the taxes to criminal illegals who break our laws is evil and Trump has many campaign videos now airing to ensure that the American people know where their tax money is going.

The resources are NOT available until the Congress get their asses back and writes a new bill giving FEMA more money .
Crying about money already spent on things it may not have been proper doesn't do anybody any good , just causes more hate and discontent.
Start writing bills putting restrictions on where the money gets spent and we would be having these problems.

The mainstream media isn't telling the American public what's actually going on.

The media coverage of the devastating North Carolina flood, left in the wake of the huge Hurricane Helene storm system, has created the impression that FEMA (an emergency services department of the federal government) has been rescuing and helping residents in the disaster area.

But on the ground interviews with people who actually lived there and are volunteering are showing a different picture.

We didn't want to put any of this on YouTube, but I've been traveling this week, and the rest of the world doesn't know about what's going on in North Carolina.
Can you tell a little bit about what's going on? Since you've been here.'

'Yes. So, my name's Suzanne. We actually live, um, a half mile from here. We live there, that's our business, it got completely washed away by the flood. We evacuated to the school, which is where we've been living for the last nine days. And we've been just volunteering with our fire department because, we, this is kind of like our home turf. And this is turning into a supply center.
Everyone keeps saying that FEMA's here, the National Guard is here. No one has been here. All these roads through here are cleared because local people cleared them. Local people that had tractors, excavators, anything. And then they called in their friends that resources throughout the state.
All the Swiftwater [flood search and rescue] teams - none of that's been government, it's been other states sending their teams down, like New Hampshire and Delaware...
Florida.
It's all volunteers. It's all either little fire departments, or, you know, little first responder services like that. It's no government help.
One day we had six National Guards been here for four hours. That was it, and they helped sort here. That was all.
It's all locals, local resources, it's all civilians.'

Tell that to the DOHLS they were the ones that took the money from FEMA that should have been earmarked for emergencies.

How
was the money mispent? Who approved that?
 
This will be remembered along with the jammed schools, hospitals and cities with thousands of murderers and rapists allowed into this country by the Biden/Harris Administration.
