Agreed on your example. I think deep down people have a sense of right and wrong but their mental condition prevents them from living by that sense of right and wrong. Most people who hate are also afraid. The fight or flight syndrome comes about when people are afraid. Hate, in this case, is a "fight" reaction.

The problem in CFM's case is that he has set up this boogeyman of darker skinned people in his head, causing him to be afraid, so he, being a fighter, reacts with hatred. Obviously if he was saner or better educated, he'd know the boogeyman doesn't exist. He'd learn that it's not the person's skin tone that matters, but the content of their character.

No boogeyman has been set up. For that to be the case, I'd have to believe those "darker skinned people", to use your term, were a threat. Haven't met one yet that is.

If skin tone doesn't matter, you lefties would support getting rid of programs designed to benefit people based on skin color other than white and wouldn't have protected classes for them.

As the world population grows, and humans move into more and more previously uninhabited areas, new and various forms of wildlife are being displaced. These forms of wildlife have been separate from humans for their entire existence. They have been developing viruses never before seen by humans. When humans come into contact with these previously not encountered viruses some of them may be transmissible to humans. Boom. There you have brand new virus that humans have never encountered and it could become a pandemic.

As human population grows, it is inevitable that new pandemics will be released.

Science has studied all of this and raised the warning.
