No more Kneeling for NFL

I don't really pay attention to the anthem. I think patriotism is a bullshit concept. I, along with so many others around me, play on my phone, chat with others, eat food, yell at kids, and the list goes on. People are in line for the bathroom, for concessions, coming from the parking lot and that list goes on as well. I have witnessed plenty of times where people don't give two shits about the anthem so obviously they aren't big on patriotism either but NOW, oh boy, now it's stand or you're unAmerican.

Hypocrites.
Well, as you've probably noticed the vast majority do care...I noticed you didn't mention watching and enjoying the game=nothing about the game at all...lol... That's a lot of money to go and Play on your phone, chat with others, eat food, yell at kids...etc....

And all the "kneeling"....At least we all have a better understanding of why she's often distraught....

We all have a better understanding of a poster who's only purpose on this forum is to chirp out "good morning" and then immediately set to bashing others.

Because the anthem isn't played during the game and yes it is a lot of money and yet people still waste their time not watching the game. Go figure.

The part where you keep stating that you do indeed give a fuck.

Fucking liar. YOU LOVE IT!!

Two different things entirely. I don't give a fuck what she does or doesn't like but that doesn't doesn't prevent me from exercising my rights to free speach to tell her what I think. You stupid twat.

Tell the forum, O great swami. Don't look it up - use your mystical powers.

You love it. You care. You give a flying fuck.

Stupid twat.

What political means would effect police procedure? You mean actually make laws against police brutality? Oh wait, I think there are some already in existence and yet few cops get held accountable for their extreme actions. So Kap wants existing laws to be enforced against the very people breaking them and not being held accountable. Is that just a Right or Left issue?

How sad that you seemingly have no idea how our system of government works.

Here's how it works: Some people become aware that there's an issue (Kap kneels in front of the cameras because he wants changes in the way police interact with the community). The media reports on it. People see and hear the protest. People take notice.

Are you keeping up so far?

Then, if people agree that there is an issue, they seek ways to correct it.

To be effective, those corrective measures would need to be political, since in our society, elected officials draft legislation and have oversight powers regarding governmental functions, like policing.

If existing laws are being enforced unfairly, the elected representatives of the community can make improvements through administrative changes. If a unit of the police acts in a manner the elected officials find unacceptable, they take disciplinary action.

Am I going too fast?

If no existing laws are deemed effective enough, new ones are drafted, debated and put to a vote. If enacted, those laws become part of the framework of our society and the process begins again.

Got it?

There is no when and where to protest or else you are telling people to protest when it's convenient for the rest of you. That is rather counter productive don't you think considering the whole point of a protest?

This has a bit of merit to it, but there really is a right time and place if you plan out a good strategy. You are correct that a protest is most effective when it is done at an inconvenient time, but it is also possible do it in such a way where you rally support for your cause instead of rallying people against your cause. It is hard to rally support by disrupting a funeral or church, or during the National Anthem, but much easier when done as a strike or in some way that interferes with business. If you interrupt traffic, make sure that it does not put anybody in danger.

The dog mentality of protesting whatever, whenever, or wherever you want is likely to backfire. The cause might be a noble one, but you will do more harm to it than good if you don't think it out first.

Nope. I use it whenever.

Btw when you spout bigoted, racist, hateful shit, that's even more vulgar.
I'd love some examples of that when you have time. From JPP, of course...not the 12 time reposted 2011 joke that Fowl keeps reposting without the rest of the thread...or the one that she keeps posting that refers to #HAND...lol....thats become so popular we had t-shirts made;)
