It was a financial burden on the small city owned hospital. Medicare will not reimburse for non emergencies for illegals in Texas.

My friend of fifty years died of colon cancer, he was suffering in the Emergency Room while illegals were being treated.

Yep I had an illegal that would come in every month for another BP medication prescription. Coming in for a hypertensive crisis is appropriate but coming in for chronic care isn't.
