NK backs down on Guam

It's an extraordinarily dangerous precedent that there are some who think this was a "win" for Trump.

This isn't how foreign policy is conducted. We need leaders to show a level of maturity that goes beyond middle school.

Um...no. Kim has escalated his capabilities, and his actions to previously unseen levels. The U.N simply decided that World War III should be avoided at all costs, and put sanctions in place.

Now, if you want to cite their worry that two incompetent fools with massive military might were becoming more unstable by the day, then yes. Credit trump with getting the U.N to act.
 
So there we have it, A strong US President can avoid conflict, both present and future by saying what he means and meaning what he says.

We need a POTUS who understands the complexities of foreign/domestic policies. trump has proven that he cannot do the job as necessary. He's on a constant quest for what he deems a 'win'....not unlike Charlie Sheen when he went on a cocaine induced bender.

When he can't find a 'win', he simply attaches the term to a failure.

Well, Thing says Kim was never going to attack Guam. If that's true, why does anyone care if he has nukes---if he'll never use them.

You never answered my questions. What has Trump done about Kim's ability to arm a missile w/ a nuke? What did his predecessors do to "appease" NK?

Kim has nukes. The only thing he needs is to reach the U.S mainland. You see, the little dogs always try to pick a fight with the big dogs. In this instance, we have a chihuahua in charge of what used to be the world's leading power.

So Kim gets to brag about bringing the U.S to its knees, knowing full well that a nuclear strike would mean the total destruction of Korea. Big dogs don't swing down.

They never stood up to Kim, militarily. So Kim proceeded to build his arsonal.

The first question is nonsensical, since it assumes Trump has some sort of magical power where he can disarm a missile---when Kim had that power, probably late in Obamas last term, if not sooner.

Step one has been achieved. Actually two steps, show China that US means business, militarily; and it followed that China got serious about reigning Bowl Cut in.

None of that would have happened had Trump lost the election.

Obama allowed Kim Jong to obtain what he has now, plain and simple, eight years of pussy.

And now Trump is trying to deal with him with diplomacy, which he has, the entire world collectively sent word to NK that they were to knock it off.
Sanctions, scoldings by big brother China, etc.

Kim Jong still the defiant little twerp he is makes a threat against a US territory.
Trump in no uncertain terms tells little twerp you dare try it you will be dealt with in terms the world has never seen in modern times.

Sounded pretty clear to me, and should be clear to you by the latest development that Kim Jong got the message, and just maybe catastrophe averted.
