Right there, Comey should have known better than to obey Lynch's request to play prosecutor. Because even if Bill Clinton and AG Lynch were talking about the grandkids, it gives the appearance of a back room deal to clear Hillary. And that, tarnishes the image of the FBI as an apolitical investigating body.

Clearly, if Comey was concerned about the image of the agency he was appointed to lead, he should have punted the ball back to Lynch. Keep in mind Comey *chose* to do it. It was a request and not an order. It didn't come from the president and even if it did, the president can't force the FBI director to take on the mantle of prosecutor without creating a constitutional crisis. But he chose to do it---and it sealed his fate.

And you don't see the irony there at all, where when 16 intel agencies say that Russia hacked our election and the FBI investigates the Trump campaign, there is no suspicion at all for you...but whoa! A conversation on the tarmac, and all of a sudden it's all cloak & dagger.

You guys are TOO MUCH. The hypocrisy is so blatant, so epic - and the self-awareness so completely lacking.

What exactly did the Russians "hack" and did Trump tell them to?

Do you honestly think that if there were proof of wrong doing by trump that it wouldn't be leaked by now.

I don't care about the investigations. Let them go on. Common sense guided by experience tells me that the level of hatred for Trump by the deep state means any shred of evidence would be out in the open now. The best any of you will ever get will be some low level process crime of a technicality.

But look at what you are wringing your hands over right now. "It took 18 days to fire Flynn"

But, you find all kinds of suspicion in that, and think that 3 intelligence agencies can be discredited & dismissed with ease.

I don't know what's going to happen w/ this investigation - especially now - but man, if they do find something, your credibility here will be completely, 100% done.

I haven't said a fucking thing about 18 days. And I have no idea if there is proof of "wrongdoing." But the hypocrisy of the right on this is astounding to me. "Libs" didn't instigate this investigation - the intel community did. Deal w/ it. All I've ever said is that we should let the investigation play out.

It is a weak analogy at this point. But the Watergate investigation didn't start at the top. It ended at the top. Is this a Watergate? Nope. Let it play out and see what it really is. Or is not.
