Sheahan, Ph.D, Western Technologies, Inc., whose name is on a list of 100 science deniers circulated back a couple of years ago by the Cato Institute. A Tom Sheahan (with two "a"s) wrote an article last week for the conservative blog, the somewhat inappropriately named American Thinker, using Anthony's Quote of the Day. Sheahan doesn't give the source of his quote except that he attributes it to Richard Lindzen.

Let's have a look at this blog where you've gone to get your 'facts'. I expect Darla will be wetting herself when she discovers a woman that manages to combine misogyny and climate change. So what does she say about herself? So she has a degree in Agricultural Science and an MBA and TCL is all over her like a cheap suit!!

I'm a sixties-something woman with an interest in climate science. I have a Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Honours) and an MBA and work as a freelance consultant. Other interests include photography and computers among other things. (The blog cover pic is a photo of one of the three major fires in the past decade that surrounded our town and destroyed huge areas of forest and farmland, caused the death of a firefighter and killed two local residents.)

I started this blog to shine a spotlight on misogyny and the rejection of climate science. (Yes, they do seem to go hand-in-hand to some extent.) I expect HotWhopper will cover more topics as it evolves. It's not a high-brow blog, it's rife with bad puns and sarcasm and snark. But the science it refers to is solid.

When there was a push for emission control standards by folk like Ralph Nader, people with your mindset became barking lap dogs for the oil and auto industry that fought against it. Fortunately, saner and cooler heads prevailed.

Same goes for a push to re-establish public transportation like trolley cars, or extend railroad stops, or extend bike lanes, etc., etc.

So inferring that people who point out the real dangers of fracking are some type of luddites is just silly. Bottom line: YOU can't logically or factually refute ANY of the information I put forth on this subject...so you just groan like an idiot and put forth these smoke screen bitchings.
