Haley changes tune, calls Trump ‘reckless’

Nikki Haley on Monday called Donald Trump “reckless.”
Tim Scott described the federal charges brought against him as “serious allegations.”

It was far from an outright condemnation. But their comments marked a significant departure from the two presidential contenders’ initial reaction to Trump’s indictment. Just days after Republicans rushed to Trump’s defense, their remarks served as a sign the tide could be turning in the Republican presidential primary field’s willingness to go on offense against the former president.

I really have no idea why they aren't all doing this, but at the end of the day, it's moot. Trump will be the nominee. If his base doesn't turn on him over this, they never, ever will. Trump sold out the country, and they are making excuses for his treason. The cult has too deep a hold on the Republican party. There is nothing they can do to stop the inevitable. The party should be planning now on how best to rebuild after the shellacking they will take in 2024. I think it will be bad enough that it will get everyones attention.

They'll only cry that the election was rigged. Trump has set the Republican party on a course for life.

When they lose, they cry cheating. When the truth hurts, they deny. If there is not anything to pin on the Democrats- they will lie, and make something up.

When they have nothing to run on, they just criticize what the Democrats are doing.

Anything that is their fault, they will blame it on the Democrats. Anything they are guilty of, they accuse the Democrats of doing it.

They only have one game, Heads- they win, and Tails- the Democrats lose!

Honestly I don't care what they cry. They are about to become feckless. Tossed in the garbage dump of history along with the Joseph McCarthys, the Adolf Hitlers, the Benito Mussolinies. History will look back and wonder how Trump supporters could have been more stupid.

Trump was an experiment in Autocracy! The Republicans got a taste of it, and like crack cocaine- they were instantly addicted to it.

Democracy doesn't work for them anymore, after they discovered they were outnumbered.

"Reckless"? The corrupt POS kept and deliberately hid classified documents, including some dealing with grave national security matters, and that's the harshest word she can come up with? Gimme a break. They are all spineless cowards, with the exception of Chris Christie.

It's better than Kevin McCarthy, who seems to believe it is reasonable to store State secrets in a bathroom next to a toilet.

She read the federal indictment against Trump, a lot of other GOP politicians have not?!! Kevin McCarthy said the classified documents found in Trump bathroom at Mar a Lago were secure, because there were locks on the bathroom doors?!!:whoa:

McCarthy may have a valid point.

Do we really need banks? Couldn't we just put our money in boxes and store it next to the toilet?

This is why Haley sucks, she’s like a fish out of water, flip flopping around on the issues of Trump.
 
I still think they are running because they think Trump will not be able to. They do not want to watch other contenders get a leg up on them. There are several people running, which is understandable because Trump is a criminal.

Evidently he didn't read the part where their original location was both unlocked and accessible by anyone at the resort, including guests and members.
