Exactly. I don't normally go to sporting events, but I never stood for the pledge. It was just something annoying, with bad singing. If they got Metallica, or some killer guitarist doing it I would pay attention. I also never sang at church, did peace where you shake hands, take the communion wine, or even do the lent restrictions on meat, due to dietary limitations. I guess all that would be showing Jesus a cold shoulder, and disrespect in these nuts definition.

Like most people in law enforcement/quasi-law enforcement, you saw the worst of the human race and our bad behaviors. If your experience had been in a city where the majority of low-income ppl were white, would you feel the same? What if the city was in an area mostly populated by (legal) immigrants from a place like Bosnia or China?

Be wary of assuming that just because your personal experience showed members of one group as criminal, it means that all members of that group are as well. We call that "racism."

Well the neighborhood I worked security was 98% Black,so you have a point.And the majority of violent crimes in Toledo where I lived was young black men.So my personal experience points in that direction,for better or worse.
