Next presidential candidate debate: Sunday Oct. 09, 2016

Trumpf will lose because he is Trumpf.

So easily distracted by his enormous ego and so easily baited with trivial matters.

Clinton will crush him and there will be no doubts or spin this time. The people attending the debate will be neutral undecided voters who will be polled immediately after the debate. It will be devastating.
The GOP leaders will then turn all their attention towards trying to save the house.
The senate is gone to the Democrats.

You don't believe any of that

Probably not to far off the truth. The odds of Trump winning are poor and the odds of democrats winning the senate are good though by no means assured. The GOP is highly favored too keep the house but lose numbers. That shouldn't be overstated as the GOP will probably regain the senate in two years and recover numbers in the house.

Dems can throw a wrinkle by beating the drums for a big infrastructure project which could create a lot of high paying jobs for blue collar workers. If the GOP plays the obstructionist game on that they could pay dearly.

I think that the debate will focus a lot on the current news of his comments about women and will probably be the part of the debate that everybody waits for. If they start the debate with it then I think it could rattle Trump early and make him defensive for the rest of the debate and if that happens then I think Clinton will probably come across as the winner. If Trump owns up to it and sincerely apologizes for his comments then it could defuse the drama early and lead to a normal debate, but I just don't think that will happen.

Trumpf is not capable of a sincere contrite apology. He not a very good actor and it's just not in him.

I'm certain that's the game plan.

But here's the potential problem for Hillary's camp: their motives couldn't be more transparent. It's textbook October surprise and if they go hard after Trump---after he's already apologized once, they risk coming across as crass opportunists that care way more about winning the election than anything else.

Which they undoubtedly are.

If voters pick up on that it can backfire.

Clinton doesn't have to "go after" anything.
Trumpf will hang himself.
She is well aware of that.
