Newark Mayor Says ICE Detained U.S. Citizens In Workplace Raid—Democratic Lawmakers Criticize Agency’s ‘Fear Tactics’

If they committed a crime, but simply in an immigration raid?
ICE has the power to detain people in cases where the agent has a reasonable suspicion that the suspect (1) does not have lawful presence in the U.S.

Using this justification, ICE agents will sometimes detain U.S. citizens while claiming that they had a reasonable suspicion that the citizen was, in fact, an illegal alien.

The far left Democratic Socialist loons lost the last election in large part due to their insane open border policies. Americans have died due to their open door policy.

This is a moot issue now. Mass deportations are occurring as we speak.

Not my house, but if that is true, I am all for illegal violent criminals being detained and deported.
Go to a bar and watch the news. Read a newspaper.

The train has left you at the station.

Mass deportations happened yesterday and will continue. Violent illegal criminals first, then the rest.

I am okay with those convicted of violent crimes, I think that was already the policy.

On the menu today: In one of the most jaw-dropping Friday-afternoon news dumps of all time, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement revealed that the agency’s docket included more than 662,000 illegal immigrants who either had a criminal conviction or were awaiting a verdict in a criminal case, including more than 13,000 convicted murderers, more than 15,000 convicted of sexual assault, more than 2,500 convicted of kidnapping, and more than 62,000 convicted of assault. (Note that it’s been more than a decade since the Senate confirmed a new ICE director.) Also: a list of trustworthy organizations that are helping out victims of Hurricane Helene, and an overlooked chat about fiction and nonfiction writing.

Los Angeles has one of the highest undocumented populations in the country. The city has voted to approve a sanctuary city ordinance. It would protect the immigrants living in LA, and it comes in response to incoming President Donald Trump's promise to start mass deportations as soon as he takes office. Several other cities and states are taking a similar stance, and NPR's immigration correspondent, Jasmine Garsd, has been keeping track of it all. Hi there.

Do your own research.

Homan warned them and you. They are coming. Best to cooperate

I don’t know if I have ever been happier politically
The funny thing is is that the US Constitution hasn't gone away just because Trump became President. All persons have civil rights in the US. That include the right to be secure in their person and property and no search is to be conducted without a warrant. Are you willing to give up your right to that security?

As I have posted, illegal immigration is a moot issue.

It was a major issue in the election and Americans voted to secure the border and deport illegals.
