Violence Escalates at 'Occupy' Protests in NYC, as Crowd Eyes March on Brooklyn Bridge

A New York City police officer was slashed during Thursday's "Occupy Wall Street" action and a second officer was taken to a local hospital with an eye injury, after clashes with protesters and activists across lower Manhattan, sources told FoxNews.com.

Both officers are said to be in stable condition, although the incident marked an escalation of tension in the uneasy give-and-take between New York officers charged with maintaining order and protesters determined to be heard.

the idiots on the left will ignore this and try to explain it away. yet, when there was any HINT of violence or racism from the tea party, the left made sure it was head line news or yapped about it on political forums. the silence of the dems is - as usual - deafening.

the tea party never had situations like the OWS has...........yet....the left demonizes the tea party and gives passes to the OWS 'protesters'.

No doubt, there are hypocrites on the left who made a big deal out of the TEA "violence," yet ignore this.

However, you have to realize at this point - you are as obsessed w/ OWS as any leftie ever was about the TEA party, and you post almost constantly about the problems w/ OWS, while ignoring the TEA folks.

The difference is that there wasn't anything to actually report on except how people "feel" about the Tea Party.

The Wallbaggers make news everyday with stuff like this.
