The man who released the video, Thomas Lopez-Pierre, told PIX11 News’ Jay Dow that he consciously waited to release the video because he didn’t want to hurt Adams’ chances at the mayor seat. Lopez-Pierre, CEO of the Black Lives Matter Real Estate Forum, said he’s publishing the footage now because he’s not happy with the mayor’s stance on police reform.
“Many in the Black community are concerned because they keep hearing [Adams] talk too much about crime,” Lopez-Pierre said. “We need him refocused on economic empowerment … if you want to reduce crime, do it the way white people reduce crime in their communities: they give them economic opportunity.”

Thats nice and all,....but he still used a racial slur. Picture the same video but instead of cracker he is talking about hispanics and uses the term wetback or spic. You know what happens then? I do. He is forced to resign.

The mayor already explained that he was WRONG. He said the only reason he used the word is because someone else had used it when they asked him a question....
IMO he should have corrected the guy asking the question and told him not to use that word instead of using the questioner as his scapegoat. But hey,....thats just me.
