You're confused;...Look at the chart on the site I linked, meathead.
In the post-Reconstruction era there's been ONE black senator and FIVE black congressmen. It's just ludicrous to claim "we can't vote for them because they won't run". If they *wouldn't* run as repubs it's because they were getting no support from that party.
If they were getting no support from the Republican party its because they wouldn't run as Republicans....
