I appreciate your thoughts brother, always have, but I’ve been around a long time and been more up close and personal with politics than most and served in a democratic administration. Leadership requires courage, something democrats lack. Republicans push them around like children even when republicans are not in power.

What should lead democrats is doing what’s right for this nation and all Americans, but too often it isn’t republicans standing in the way, it’s fear, democratic fear of what republicans might say or do that stands in the way and that truth is glaringly apparent on this issue. Democrats are losing the respect of black voters, without whom Trump would be preparing for a 2nd term.

The issues surrounding police reform are life and death for the African-American community. It’s no secret why black voters don’t trust the Democratic Party. I don’t trust it either, but Trump was such a threat that like many, I held my nose and voted against Trump more than I voted for Biden. If democrats don’t have the courage to end this violence against black people, same black people democrats desperately need to win elections, then perhaps we need to give republicans a chance to get it done. We didn’t rely on democrats to advance this issue, and perhaps we are better served by not relying on them at all. Our agenda is every bit as important as any other. Young African-Americans are not buying the weakness that democrats are selling. Too many innocent dead people killed by police who murder because we exist while black. Too many excuses why that is just allowed to happen. The party is OLD, and full of too many dinosaurs concerned only about their own power.
