WASHINGTON—Responding to widespread criticism regarding its health care website, the federal government today unveiled its new, improved Obamacare program, which allows Americans to purchase health insurance after installing a software bundle contained on 35 floppy disks.

“I have heard the complaints about the existing website, and I can assure you that with this revised system, finding the right health care option for you and your family is as easy as loading 35 floppy disks sequentially into your disk drive and following the onscreen prompts,” President Obama told reporters this morning, explaining that the nearly three dozen 3.5-inch diskettes contain all the data needed for individuals to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace, while noting that the updated Obamacare software is mouse-compatible and requires a 386 Pentium processor with at least 8 MB of system RAM to function properly. “Just fire up MS-DOS, enter ‘A:\>dir *.exe’ into the command line, and then follow the instructions to install the Obamacare batch files—it should only take four or five hours at the most. You can press F1 for help if you run into any problems. And be sure your monitor’s screen resolution is at 320 x 200 or it might not display properly.” Obama added that the federal government hopes to have a six–CD-ROM version of the program available by 2016.

:rofl2:

Reminds me of installing Microsoft Office back in the day....

Booted right up on my machine running Windows 3.11 for work groups. Had to look up what a "floppy disk" was, though.

Couldn't Obama and his Canadian contractors put out a Commodore 64 version?

omigorsh....the first computers I bought for my business were Commodore 64s......with the optional dual floppy drive so you could actually transfer data from one disc to another.......

Mine used a little cassette tape deck to store and enter programs....I didn't know they had floppys for them....

two systems, accounting software....cost me $10k total back about 1986 or so.....(for comparison, my first house purchased four years earlier cost me $36k)......replaced a $12k annual expense to an accountant doing the books for my property management company.....

standard config was 32k, I upgraded them to 64k, lol......

I spent every cent of my hazardous duty pay from Desert Storm on a 386 PC with dual floppy drives and a monster 120MB hard disk just so I could play DOOM.

How many times does this type of situation turn up in the corporate world?

yeap it happens.

I bet some of that is even sabotage its self.

you see corporate sabotage happens too.

What will you do if this turns out to be a hit job on the site by some paid off code writer and they prove it.

the actions of the right in this country to win elections and get what they want is replete with things like sabatoging phone banks and voter felons lists and voting machines.

its your history

the right in this country have conflated this health care bill into their amegedon.

there is nothing in the world they hate more.

they have said they will do ANYTHING to stop it.

If this is sabotage, why would the right try to delay the rollout? Seems to me they would be saying "hey, can you roll it out a little sooner? This is SUCH a wonderful textbook example of all government programs that even we on the right want to see everyone reaping these benefits that ONLY the government can provide!"
As for rigging elections, how's that working out for the righties? How you likin' Romney in the white house and GOP majorities in the house AND the senate? WOW! That 2012 election cycle was a dream come true for the righties!!! Oh wait...no it wasn't. Oh but at least the attorney general rounded up all the architects of the cheating and buried them under the jails!!! Oh wait...that didn't happen, either. I am of the opinion that if there is right wing election rigging going on, we really suck at it and we need some lessons from the lefties on how to do it right.
