New Illinois law bans cash bail - even for 2ND DEGREE MURDER - They must be released

You don't understand how bail works. If you post bail and run, you don't get the money back. And if you used a bondsman he will come after you. Much much better for the perp if there is no bail at all.

Once they have posted bail with a bondsman, they lose that money so it costs them nothing to run. If you run, their will be a warrant issued for your arrest. No different than a bondsman. Except of course bondsmen usually go after low level offenders that skip bail. Not those that committed the major crimes you were whining about.

Costs them nothing to run??? HAHAHA. The bondsman will catch them and skipping bail is another crime they will be charged with. THINK

So, no one is ever caught without a bondsman catching them? I am curious what you think the US Marshalls, sheriff departments, the FBI and local police do.
Failure to appear is the crime that is charged. No one is charged with "skipping bail." Failure to appear occurs with or without bail. It results in a warrant being issued.
