I wish that chart included tests given for more accuracy. You can't determine whether the number of new cases daily is decreasing without comparing it to the number of tests administered. IOW we could be seeing fewer new cases simply because we're testing less.
Yes, those figures I gave are the Active Cases in the USA, for each day:
