When I was a young boy, baseball legend Ty Cobb, who never lived to be my present age, described basketball as a "bunch of niggers running around in their underwear."

I thought that it was a crude remark then, even as young as I was, and I haven't changed my mind since.

But since our local team was in the finals last season--they lost--I actually watched a little of it.

Cobb was vulgar, but was he completely wrong? It didn't seem like much of a game to me, and few of the players seemed that they might someday split the atom.

Basketball is a great game. It's wonderful exercise and not much risk of injury.

I did not vote for Secretary Clinton in the primaries, although I of course voted for her in the general election in 2016.

I generally vote for the furthest left candidate in the Democratic Primary, which wouldn't be Mrs. Clinton.

Although she was as qualified a candidate as ever ran for president, her husband was a Republican-Lite signing bills he had never should have signed,
and she supported those positions.

In the 2008 three-way race between Clinton, Obama, and Edwards, I voted for Edwards because his agenda was furthest left.
I generally vote for policy over people. Character isn't really an issue because nobody's is very good, generally.

I believe that the Star Spangled Banner should only be played at special events where our military are being honored, or unless it is a holiday such as the 4th of July or Memorial Day.

It has no place at any sporting events unless there is also a special event held before the game or at halftime, honoring our military or National Holiday..

Today, the US ARMY is playing the AIR FORCE in Dallas, and that is a good example where you may want to play the Star Bangled Banner.

There is absolutely nothing what-so-ever patriotic about two sport teams playing a sporting contest- or fans attending a sporting event- or watching a sporting event on TV.

The National Anthem is about as out of place at a sporting event, as Donald Trump Humping the American flag at a TRUMP STUMP!

I don't like to see our National Anthem or our National Flag be exploited, misused, or perved in any manner at any event- for someone's political, personal, or financial gain!
