Nebraska GDP down 6 percent under Trump

If we froze time in the first quarter he'd almost have a point, but since we are not Timelords... with great names like "The Master" and "The Doctor"... we have to work in the now... and right now and in Q2 there is GDP growth in Nebraska.
Timelords mostly travel in time, they are not frozen in time. I guess the TImelord Citadel is somewhat disconnected from time, but it does seem to flow there too.

Anyway, importers tried to move imports from q2 to q1. That caused lower GDP in q1 and higher GDP in q2. The economy itself does not seem to have changed much. So if we want a picture of the underlying economy, we can simply take an average and find that national growth is 1.25%, and Nebraska growth is -1.5%. Neither are good.

Population growth is about 1%. There are several other factors that mean that even 2% growth will feel like standing still. Nationally, we are not in a recession, yet, but we are not doing great.

Rep. Don Bacon (Neb.), a moderate Republican, said he’s concerned about the U.S. economy, noting his state saw a 6 percent annual drop in real gross domestic product (GDP) in the first quarter of 2025.

In an interview with CNN’s Phil Mattingly, Bacon pointed to the recent jobs data and the latest round of tariffs as reason for his pessimism about the economy.

“From my vantage point here in Nebraska, we’re seeing a bit of a troubled economic mess — or, right now, it’s a troubled time,” Bacon said.

“In Nebraska, the GDP here has decreased by 6 percent over the last year, and it’s all about trade. It’s all about getting corn and soybeans out the door,” Bacon continued. “So, what I hear with, you know, weak jobs numbers, we’re sort of seeing that in Nebraska right now.”

Maybe there’s a few too many spineless RINO losers like this dipshit Bacon in Nebraska. Maybe he’s too busy with his nose firmly up his CNN ass to see Nebraska’s economy getting flushed down the Biden toilet causing the mess their in well before Trump showed up.

You’d think a senator might have a clue about his own state’s misery, but nah, he’s as clueless as you libtard morons slurping up Yahoo News propaganda like it’s free kombucha. Oh, by the way, the U.S. GDP just pumped out a juicy 3% growth last quarter, sorry to wreck your sad little narrative with that inconvenient truth.

You brain-dead drones keep dreaming that Trump's trade policy’s the big bad wolf, swallowing every lie the rotting media corpse shoves down your gullible throats. Meanwhile, Nebraska’s been in a death spiral through the Biden years, and this “moderate” Michael Steele wannabe is spouting gloom and doom predictions as demagogues do, while the numbers suck worse than a late-night infomercial.

Reasons for Nebraska's suffering GDP
Grok:

Low Commodity Prices: Prices for major row crops like corn, soybeans, and wheat have fallen to their lowest levels in a decade, significantly reducing crop cash receipts. For 2024, crop receipts were projected to drop by $1.64 billion (-12%) compared to 2023, with further declines expected in 2025.

High Production Costs: Rising costs for inputs like fertilizer, fuel, and labor have squeezed operating margins, making it difficult for farmers to remain profitable despite increased crop yields in some cases.

Trade Disruptions and Tariffs: Global trade slowdowns and new tariffs, particularly on exports to Canada, Mexico, and China (which buy over 90% of Nebraska’s corn and significant portions of soybeans, pork, and beef), have reduced market access and demand. Retaliatory tariffs have further hurt farmers, with losses estimated at $1 billion in 2019 alone.Economic Pressures and Farm Consolidation: Smaller farms (those with less than $100,000 in sales) are struggling to compete due to economies of scale, leading to a net loss of 100 farms in 2024. Chapter 12 bankruptcies in Nebraska more than doubled to 15 in 2024, reflecting financial strain.Environmental and Policy Challenges: Ongoing issues like soil degradation, water availability, and policy uncertainty (e.g., trade policies and federal farm programs) exacerbate the situation. Declining wheat acreage (down over 50% in 20 years) and labor shortages also contribute.

I noticed one 2025 and that's of course based on the first quarters number, haven't got the 2nd quarter yet, but who needs that when they've got CNN experts and 'moderate' Republicans to correctly predict things as they have so many times before, not. This is clearly an important and informative article. It's clear that you libtards got 'smarter' by reading it, lol.

That would be the definition of NOT GOOD.

Things are not as bad as they could be, but they are definitely not good, and they are probably going to get worse... Sooner or later.
Americans generally have no idea what is going on, and are not interested in learning.

Well give Trumps tariffs time to work through the supply chain and the price of just about everything we buy go up.
The economists are saying it will cost the average American family at least $2400 a year OR MORE.
Then add in all the people that will be laid off and out of work, and then on top of all that the effects of his BBB when that finally kicks in.
It is going to be a real shit show and it is all because of Trump's stupidity .
