This is frighting, 7 in 10 Americans have less than $1000 in savings?
I can understand low wage workers, living from paycheck to paycheck!
But not middle and upper income folks, must be living large or beyond their means!

This is clearly a lie. Obama says we are at full employment. How can we be at full employment when people have no savings?

Although we are of course at a vary strange full employment where consumer spending goes down and cc debt goes up.
 
Just like "big brother"....the people have been conditioned to live on funny money beyond their means. What can anyone expect with big brother having a credit card bill of some 19 trillion, with their credit rating reduced not once but twice over the past 8 years...from perfect to some Euro Trash nations having superior credit credentials. That's not to much to fathom if you say it REAL FAST. That's liberal progress for ya...ALINSKI STYLE. In the meanwhile the democrats are enjoying their porn and violence in movies and now piped directly into their homes....talking their little brain dead heads off...gossiping about who does what with who on their government provided cell phones...or paying thousands of dollars per year via contract in order to gossip with their neighbors....its just one big dumbed down liberal party while ROME BURNS TO THE GROUND.

Ask any recent graduate of our public education system...any simple question relating to history...and observe the "deer in the headlights" syndrome...hell they can't even read a daily paper above a grade school level..but they have graduated? Really? Hell just look at some of the veg heads around here pretending to be intelligent.

Think about it. Since the communists have taken over the democrat party in the 60s via labeling themselves proponents of liberalism, progress, and social democray....are things really better or progressively WORSE? The plan is working to perfection for the Alinskites and their deal with the devil...better known as the DNC. About 1/2 of the US POPULATION receives some type of Federal Aid....Welfare anyway you wish to slice it. Our jails are full.....our intercity projects started by the liberal great society programs are nothing but breeding grounds for criminals and drug dealers....The US has more per capita citizens locked up than any other nation on earth....THE PEOPLE now find themselves over 19 trillion in debt...yet the Call from the DNC is "MORE SOUP PLEASE"...our people are starving to death....yet all those impoverished citizens find themselves with multiple phones, auto's, tv's, computers, sound systems...etc.,

Yep...good work LIBERALS in falling for the deal with the devil. They say crime is going down....but that does not equate with the US leading the world in having more jailed people than ever before in history. As I have stated before....if a crime is serious enough to sentence anyone to become a slave of the state...that is indeed a serious crime.

But the spinning never stops...Hell let's go out and vote one of the two criminal democrats (both pretending to be more conservative than the other, with neither having a moral compass any greater than a rabid rodent) into office to serve the people more dog shit over the next 8 years (while spinning it into prime rib) Go democrats....eat your fill...you asked for it.

lies. Remember we are at full employment! That means that workers have so much bargaining power to get higher wages because there is not enough of them to fill jobs. Or maybe we arent at full employment (5% or less unemployment) and the democrats are massaging stats.

How is that calculated? Do you take out debt, does your mortgage count against your "savings account"? Do investments count as savings?

I don't keep much cash, and sometimes when I am cash poor I borrow from a line of credit that I pay off when I sell a stock or get some cash coming in....

The statement in the OP is worthless without methodology being disclosed.

basically your argument is that americans are so rich and comfortable that they are using all their money to invest instead of keeping some emergency cash around?

This in an environment where interest rates are so low you almost get nothing. Correct ? :)
