I'm watching The Apple Cup right now. It's the cross-state rivalry between the UW and WA State. Huskies are favored to win - it's being played in Pullman - may the best team win!

Yes, when I was a pup the drinking age right across the border in Moscow was 19. When we had away rugby games with WSU we'd head across the border - pullman is like 30 min away - and we'd get toasted!

When I was a youngster, Alabama's drinking age was 19. The 4 surrounding states all had drinking age of 18. From Tuscaloosa to the state line is about 45 or 50 miles. Made that run so many times.
